Why were people given the opportunity to discuss the new rules and then denied this right?
It seems threads questioning the power of moderators are locked, or are deleted. Volconvo likes to pride itself on standing for freedom of speech, but clearly it violates the principle of freedom of speech when it really matters.
I speak controversy so we have something to talk about. Don't take me too seriously.
There is a time and place for everything. "Moderating issues and site policies may be addressed via private message only". We all agreed to that when we registered.

People were not, actually, given the right to debate the new rules, Jason allowed people one post, and one post only (on one specific thread, at that) to add their input into the new rules we were at that time writing.
At this point in time, however, it is still against the forum rules to discuss site policies and forum moderation on anything other than PM. As we all have to abide by the rules as laid down by the site owner, this thread will now be closed. You are all encouraged, if you have an issue, to contact the moderator of your choice - privately - to discuss this issue.
