Just wondering if it's possible to make the "Go to first new post" arrow next to the names of the threads slightly bigger? Those of us blessed/cursed with a trackpad find it a little pesky to click on.

If you have the e-mail notification option, the e-mail link should take you right to the first new posts.
At least it's supposed to do that. It's kind of hit-or-miss with me, but more hit than miss.

I've disabled the email notices, as they were pesky and annoying. Sorry Jason! Plus, I get enough nagging emails at work without getting them at home too.


I think the fact that it's taken me nearly four months of posting before I even noticed there was a "take me to the first unread post" button is indicative that the button doesn't have a highly visible presence ... it's a very handy thing to have, shame it's practically unusable at it's current size.

There's an option for you, actually, that already exists. Click on the thread name, then click View First Unread right under Reply. :)

Yes there is, thank you, Jason! I've been using it for a while, but I don't like having to when there is already a better alternative. It's also not answering my question!

It's an extra click, which, for those of us who like to limit our clicking action (say we suffer with arthritis, or RSI, or connective tissue disease for example, which is why we may use a track pad rather than a mouse in the first place) can be a pain - literally - so, can the button be enlarged? Individual clicks add up, particularly in a busy place such as this.

90% of the other forums I'm a member of take you direct to first unviewed post of any thread when you click on the title. It's a small thing I'm asking, and it will seem unimportant to most people, I'm very aware of that, but to some, it might make viewing the forum more enjoyable and/or easier.

If it can't be done, then fine, but I asked for a very genuine reason.

Which button, specifically, are you referring to? The one next to the name of the last poster?

No, there's a tiny grey arrow (facing down) at the beginning of the title of any thread with unread posts, when you hover over it states: "Go to first new post".

It's only on the individual forum's pages though. I'll see if I can get you a screen dump.
