The following are the new suspension thresholds.
7 points = 1 week suspension
10 points = permanent ban
10 infractions = 1 week suspension
18 infractions = 2 week suspension
24 infractions = 1 month suspension
28 infractions = 2 month suspension
30 infractions = 4 month suspension
31 infractions = permanent ban
What's the difference between an infraction and a point? And, how do you view your "blackmarks"? Not that I plan on getting any.

Several points can be given for one infraction. What do you mean by blackmarks?
Is the bottom list (10, 18, 24...) cumulative over all time, or do expired infractions no longer count towards that total?

Besides i have been to melbourne. its easier to buy a license than to sit the exam.
Sorry Jason...but seems a little odd...infractions that have expired should not count.I believe they are cumulative.
Let's say, this forum is one of the lucky ones, and it lives for another 20 years...and over 20 years a person collects 31 infractions ( barely more than 1 per year )...you mean to say someone who has provided input for 20 years receiving fewer than 2 infractions per year is going to be booted out the door on a permanent ban...
seems a little bit excessive to me...and very inconsiderate of the person's overall contribution.
It may not have very much effect in the ' short term '...but...if you plan on being around for the long haul it will have, eventually, unjustified consequences.
