    Volconvo is Now On Facebook

    Volconvo is now on Facebook.

Additionally, I've just launched a targeted ad campaign for Volconvo on Facebook. Hopefully, it'll bring some new energetic minds to the site. If you'd like to help support this effort, please consider donating.

New energetic minds isn't exactly the phrase I think of when I hear the words "social networking site", but we shall see.

If you're willing to discount the vast majority of American university students with one quick sweep, I think that's an unfair assessment. Nevermind that the campaign is targeted with many variables, including interests.

There is a significant following of politically interested students on Facebook. This could bring in some new blood though maybe tainted blood as well. Oh well. We'll see.

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

I'm willing to discount the vast majority of Americans. Sure, we might get some good ones, but it might be accompanied by a large influx of a lower calibre of member, as had been the case with past recruitment schemes.

If it's geared towards a particular demographic, that would certainly improve the odds of getting members worth having, though I'm not sure how much. Like I said, we shall see.

Policing and filtering who can and can not come in before you give them a chance? That's polite

I'm not saying the following is right, but from my own experience, there isn't one real thing you can do to be 100% assured you won't get tools as members.... just look at me.

Sounds like a good idea to me, and besides, Facebook isn't just the US. It started in the US, but it's very well known all over the world now..... so I think the variety will be much better then what you predict.

Then again, more of the world to apply for membership, means more tools to filter out.

When you're logged in, go to the Volconvo page and look for a "follow" option. That will add you to the "followers", a very inappropriate name for a group from this forum.

We know...we're just making fun of it. I always like to compare modding this forum to herding cats with a hair dryer. Our members aren't generally "followers".
