Is that why a recent post of mine with no additional comment by another member is now not found in the search for "New Posts?"
(after experimenting) Hmm...guess not...

I would think so. Cookie information is stored on your computer, but the switch would mean the information now needs to be on the server, which requires user activity to build up the database.
