    Scientists unveil chocolate-fueled race car

    Scientists unveil chocolate-fueled race car
London Tuesday May 5, 2009, the University of Warwick, shows a formula 3 racing car - the World First Formula 3 racing car - which is powered by chocolate, has a steering wheel made out of plant-based fibres derived from carrots, has bodywork made from potatoes, and can still do 125mph. The race car was designed and made from sustainable and renewable materials. The car meets all the Formula 3 racing standards except for its biodiesel engine which is configured to run on fuel derived from waste chocolate and vegetable oil.

WASTE chocolate? There's no such thing!
Puts a whole new slant on the age-old practices of sniffing petrol and stealing tyres though...

These people need to stop showing off, and come up with practical solutions. I'm getting kind of bored with stories like this. First, a chocolate powered race car costs more to run than one powered by pure alcohol. Second, why did this concept need to be proven? We already know that natural oils can power things. Or that natural fibers like hemp are quite strong. A steering wheel made of carrots... so, what? Celery is tough, did they try that?

Producing just one prototype has absolutely no value. Seriously, can they manufacture any car body on a large scale out of potatoes? Probably not, so why bother? This was a totally pointless effort.

This thing needs to be destroyed. We have no spare chocolate, it isn't welcome here.

It's a perfectly good use of chocolate, if you ask me. Dreadful stuff.
