This subject is being discussed under Society and Rights, not under Religons. Our American Rights as adults to read what we choose, doesn't need theological arguments, because theology doesn't effect our Rights, (unless we allow those small minded Concerned Women of America, Falwell, Dobson, and Tony Perkins to strip us of those guaranteed Rights.)

Oh, i agree. But at the time i figured that, simply getting phoenix to realize just how banal straight men would be a big enough step without throwing gays, etc. into the mix.

At the risk of further derailing the topic, I'm curious, pheonix, if you are aware of what "marriage" was, back in the day. If you think it was a couple in love, you're wrong. Men often had multiple wives, and free sexual reign over their female slaves. In a more established household of a hundred people, perhaps, that meant that a given man could have sex with about... 25? different women at any given time without committing "adultery," and was of course free to trade for more slaves if he got bored. It was totally different.
