Don't be ashamed for something you had nothing to do with, that's like me being ashamed for being Caucasian due to slavery of Sub-Saharan Africans. No one alive today, was either a slave, or slave-holder in those times. Do I think it was wrong? Of course I do, but I had nothing to do with it, and neither did you.

If people knew their history, they would realize the Japanese were far worse than the Germans. The Japanese in outlying islands, that were cut off from supplies, actually practised cannibilism of their POW's.

There's "popular history", and then there's "real history". Our government doesn't want real history taught (that's one reason why I wouldn't teach), because they want people to grow up thinking a certain way, without being able to make up their own minds. Don't get me wrong, it's the best thing out there right now, but we DO NOT live in a democracy. We elect in a democratic fashion, yet live in a Representative Republic.

But, back to whether you should cry "racism", be the bigger person and ignore them. It's very unfortunate that most don't want to take the time to learn anyway.

The word nigger has been used to down an entire race for hundreds of years but 'nigga' has just been used recently to describe friends of people you like. when someone says "wuts up nigga" they dont mean "wuts up black slave" they are saying "wuts up brotha". Wut pisses me off is they every race uses this word but when the whites say it its like the shit hits the fan. its bull shit really, i just wish everyone would stop being so ignorant and accept this word as it is used and not give it an entire new meaning.

This is gonna sound racist, but it's just the easiest way to put it.


If somebody said something like..

Shut up nigger!

It would be no different than..

Shut up nigga!

But if a black person said this to one of his black friends..

Hey nigga, what's up?

It's no longer racist.


Obviously somebody in such a delicate position as a teacher should never be using either of those words.

In a way the word doesn't matter, only the intent.

Anyone, who idly, or passively allows another person to "belittle" them, or be insulting with such hatespeech (what else could it be? A term of "endearment"???), is either mentally ill, or has an agenda (such as being "kept", or receiving something of value, in exchange for being humiliated, which, "strangely enough", some people engage in...people hardly surprise me, these days, what they are willing to tolerate or do)...or is just plain "stupid"...there can be no other explanation. Of course I don't know your man...I'm only going by what you have told me, as to his behavior. Logic. So which is it?

Your big swollen scholar brain filled with pride has made me realize how right you are that no insulting words should be excepted. So from now on when i hear someone say nigga or nigger or whatever im just gonna beat the @#$% out of them on the spot regardless of what color they are because it offends me! There is no difference between Nigger and Nigga. Perhaps, if you are from New England, you say Nigga since we tend to drops are 'ers'.

The kid is being sensitive, but the teacher needs to attend sensitivity training. Too bad this is asshat backwards. Anyone can call me a racist, but I am not standing up for a "dorky ass cracker".

This kid was offended by empty rhetoric. An example of non-empty rhetoric is calling him a "sissy fucktard". What it boils down to; racism or sensitivity. The teacher did NOT make a racist remark.

If whitey cannot use the word nigger, then blacks cannot either. Every ethnic group has been discriminated against, but no ethnic group can claim the monopoly over any word.

Fuck it, ban the word all together. When black kids say it in the cafeteria, then they need to be reprimanded. They do not have a right to monopolize a word.
