Silicon implants

I recently had a discussion with a friend of mine. He felt grossed out by women who wear silicon implants, as it was an "innatural and manipulative" way of enhancing body.
I personally admire women with "fake boobs", as it shows that they care for the way they look, and are willing to pay for a surgical operation in order to stay atop.
Having said that, there's of course a limit on the breast size and the number of operations, and the age when it's appropriate. It's like wearing a little bit of make up...
What do you think?

I think they are fine, but I think people shouldn't have them. Ie. I don't think people should be vain enough to have cosmetic surgery, and only people who actually need it (if they are 'disfigured' or if it will help them improve psychologically) should have it.

I suppose most people would disagree with what I think, but I wish some people weren't so desperate to be beautiful (I probably say that because I'm ugly )

Well, my wife was quite a bit overweight (I never said anything to her, I always considered her very attractive), just barely enough that after repeated attempts to lose weight she qualified for gastric bypass surgery. Following a large amount of weight loss, and given her age, she really didn't have much in the way of breasts, at least not any that were very attractive (once again, it was mainly a concern of her's, I never said anything to her and, frankly, I would have rather kept the money the surgery cost). She chose to have implants and is very happy with them.

I can't say I complain much, either.

I think the real issue is the reasons for doing so. If the decision is made by a woman for personal reasons, then I say go ahead. If the decision is made to please others, I don't think it's a wise thing to do.

Keith

The great thread killer.

lol ^^ Now THAT is just weird. But sadly, I could see it happening one day. Artificial body building.

I don't really mind bout women implants. But I agree with Keith. You shouldn't get them just to please others, only if you want to feel more secure about yourself, perhaps better self esteem. It's not big deal, really. I think women have a misconception that guys want huge boobs or something. Love isn't worth happening if its all lust, in my opinion.

Now, for models. Since its their career to look hot, I think its ok for them to want to be pleasing on the eyes for others.

As for plastic facial surgery.. I think people value beauty way too much. Though, I do support facial surgery for deformaties or nasty accidents. (funny.. I just saw The Hills Have Eyes)

But overall, if you have the money.. I don't care. It's your life.

Nowhere as near as unnatural as the word innatural.

There's nothing really wrong with them. If a lass wants them, have them, as long as they realise that it won't help if it's for 'psychological' reasons.

For aesthetic reasons though, I think most implants are a mistake. When a lass with big tits is lying on her back and they don't do their normal dissapearing act to the sides, it's just not right.

I totally agree that cosmetic surgery should only be to repair unnatural deformities. Not to make your nose smaller or your skin whiter or your boobs bigger.

Aesthetically, I don't care for them. Can't say as I have ever have an opportunity to actually touch, or evaluate any personally, therefore, I did not vote.

More than a mouthful is a waste. I can understand a woman wanting implants if she's truly flat chested but few women are truly flat and staying natural goes a long way, IMO. Most of this stuff is simply marketting hype. (I'd include a lot of the medication craze as being in line with breast implants - symptoms of too many people thinking they have problems, whereas the problem is mostly one of perception)

For the record, there are implants available to men -- they are mean to make a man's pectorals look defined sans actually working them out.

I have always preferred the smaller women myself. I like'em petite, so large breasts don't really fit the mold.
