| Igneous Magma Location: Aurora, Co Posts: 353 | Why are 'bad' words considered 'bad'?? Everywhere I go I see censor ship of so-called 'bad' words. (yeah you know the ones) But why are they censored? How are they any different from any other word? Isnt censoring these certain words a sign of publicly acceptable ignorance? (im still no good at starting topics) |

| BANNED-Warned multiple times about instigating. User then reported topics multiple times to mess with staff. Posts: 4,412 | What's funny too is how some words are now accepted. When I was a kid, you couldn't say "damn" on television. We tried to do a play when I was in high school, and the teacher had to censor out the one swear word - "damn" - out of the play. Blackboard Jungle was the play, I think. Slowly that word and many others have been accepted. Why? Are they not as injurious to our health? Why can we now say "Ass" and "Bitch" and even "piss?" |
