My viewpoint offends others.. oh damn. And where in is it illegal, unconstitutional... wrong for me to offend others?

Your viewpoint offends me, and millions of others that agree with me.

Should you be verbally insulted? Should I call the ACLU and demand that you be silenced for offending me.
You offend becuase of the underlying push of religion down our throats. Let me explain. There is no law written stating that marraige is between man and a women. Only in the bible. So tell me why again marraige shouldn't be for any 2 humans?

So how is God a homophobe then? What "reasons of others" made you call God one? God doesn't care what the gay scientists think.

And really, you might as well be asking why God made murderers. At least then you would have to properly take gayness out of "inate, fixed from birth" category and move it to "way to pass time."

I'm kind of surprised you really think the religious types condemn homosexuality because God said it was wrong, in an odd sort of way it suggests you at least think we're honest. That just maybe the key to break you out of the cocoon the slippery webs of uncritical liberalism has trapped you in. Free your mind and fly away.
How do you know what god is thinking, are you GOD? I thought the reason why religious hates gays is because God said so, right? That's all you really hear from those against this issue.

A corporate marriage is called a merger, and ideally that is what marriage is, two individuals becoming as one. The traditional marriage assumed the male and female became one, each had rights and duties. This defined a very clear social order, and most cultures order themselves in this way, regardless of religious belief. Marriage was so important to the bloody Aztecs, that if a man didn't choose a wife, one was chosen for him. There is also a Greek myth where Adrodite is called upon to make a man marry. Marriage has been a concern of all groupings of adult males and females from the beginning. The gods married for goodness sake.

The technologically family has thrown out the rule book, and so disrupted socail order, that we are remind of all the stories where the gods wiped away all humans. Strangely it is more acceptable to be amoral and unfit for family life, than to be homosexual and share a loving relationship with children.
This just is not rational.

We want and need things to be ordered and predictable, homosexuality, like cancer isn't predictable.
We do not know the rules, and who may actually be homosexual, and how a society of homosexuals would be ordered, and this scares us. If however, a man is a terrible husband and father, or a woman is terrible wife and mother, well no big deal. We have plenty of experience with that, so we don't fear it nearly as much as we fear homosexuals having families that are not typical heterosexual families. It is the unknown and fear that troubles us so deeply, not the immorality of sexual beings that has become so common, we think it strange for people to be married for life. We are no longer a man and woman mergering to be one, and the idea of man and man, or woman and woman mergering to be one is alarming! WHAT IF THE MERGE IS BETTER THAN MEN AND WOMEN? WHAT HAPPENS TO OUR SOCIETY THEN? (do people in heaven have babies? is heaven family order or equal adults?)

Look, the Greeks accepted homosexuality and some expected long term male homosexual relationships to be more important than the traditional family. The family relationships were made and kept as a matter of family/social duty, while the real lovers were likely to be a young man and older man. Marriage is a a social choice implying duty. The lover is a personal, private choice guided by emotion, not social rules and duty.

Great sentence, if everyone believed this, there would be no issue about gay marraige!! Emphasis on private which of course segways me to say stay the fuck out of other peoples business. <-- To those who oppose gay marraige, they are not hurting you or your family.

There was a time when marriage was arranged by parents. Men married to get the dowry. Marriage was more of a economic concept than is was because people love each other.
