Hey you seem upset that people can act insane. I have no idea why. You do live on earth don't you? But say anything you like, Japan is now a peaceful country. In that particular case of insanity it worked out well.Quote by: Gorgo

I'm not sure why you think that's relevant.Quote by: Starboy
I'm also not sure why you think it's important that Japan was pacified, when the U.S. was not. I'm not sure why you think that Japan is peaceful, or why you think that's good.

As I have said before, you can say anything you like about the US but of the two at least one came out peaceful. If you don't see that as an improvement then there is no point in discussing this further.Quote by: Gorgo

Violence is wrong. No matter what they did to me, I would not of dropped the bomb. Violence is not the answer. Everyone should have a disscussion and put their differences aside. You should never have to use violence. Thats why I hate George Bush. [If you agree with my point against George bush, Please reply.]
Hitler was supported by the powerful of the world as a bulwark against democracy. There was a fear that workers were going to realize that workers did not have to be slaves and people like Hitler were supported to make sure that the lower classes lost the class war.Quote by: Mr.Vicchio
No matter what they did to you, eh? Well fine then. People with your attitude don't survive long in the real world. If the United States adopted your attitude, we would be government by some other entity right now. Does this mean you are in favor of totally dismantling our military?Violence is wrong. No matter what they did to me, I would not of dropped the bomb. Violence is not the answer. Everyone should have a disscussion and put their differences aside. You should never have to use violence. Thats why I hate George Bush
And do you also hate Bill Clinton, George HW Bush, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon, Lyndon Johnson, John F. Kennedy, Dwight Eisenhower, Harry Truman, Franklin Roosevelt and all other Presidents who have authorized military action during their presidencies?
If not, feel free to shut up.

Yah - why didn't we just think of sitting down with the japs. They were obviously a reasonable lot - with the bloody kamikazi bombings and attacks of our cities. Good grief you are stupid. I guess we should have just asked king george to let us be free. And hitler? I'm sure if we just asked him nicely he would have stopped cooking jews and washing his ass with soap rendered from thier fat.Quote by: clarky
It scares me that people like you are allowed to exist in our society. People like you should be weeded out by natural selection by the age of 5. I keep telling you guys more people need to die...

gorgo.. at this point it's clear that you are not concerned with your previous statements that japan was considering surrender. those statements were nothing more than a ruse to hide behind.. your only position is that all killing, all war is wrong, and therefore nobody should participate in it. by your own logic, nobody should participate even if that means that you have to kill in order to survive. given mankind's violent tendencies, that is not a realistic opinion whatsoever.
in a perfect world your view would be great.. sadly, we don't live in a perfect world.
You keep repeating the same thing without anything to back up your statements. As I've shown, Japan was ready to surrender. Even if that were not true, killing hundreds of thousands of people is barbaric. One does not have to be against all war to agree that this is a crime against humanity.Quote by: bishop

heh.. you haven't proven that they were ready to surrender.. the generals made the decisions in imperial japan, and they weren't ready to surrender. moreover, they waited until the second bomb fell before they caved in.
Before they surrendered under the same terms that they would have surrendered for all along. All the bombing did was to slaughter hundreds of thousands of people and destroy several square miles for how many years. You were ready to condemn the Yugoslavians for much less than that. You and Vicchio are cheering murder.Quote by: bishop
