Has your ID been stolen?

There are a lot of news stories about major corporations "losing" personal data on their clients. I personally do not know of anyone who has had their ID stolen, and I find it curious that a mandatory sentencing law was enacted in January 2004 on this. Even more curious that just in the last month all these companies are reporting ID information being lost.

ID theft is the fastest-growing crime in the US right now. It has happened to a lot of people. Here's one example: a car dealership employee takes the information from a customer with great credit. Someone goes to another dealer and gets a car in that person's name, and then of they go. There are many more examples of it, that is just one I know from being in the industry has happened a lot.

We had to up our security measures big-time. To the point of practically getting a thumb-print and drop of blood.

I have taken the liberty of editing the poll to add a "No" option. If anybody has a problem with this, I will remove it.

Society may be formed so as to exist without crime, without poverty, […] no obstacle whatsoever intervenes at this moment except ignorance to prevent such a state of society.
