What makes me a dumbass? Saying affirmative action is racist? Or about the guy in Washington DC that was forced to resign his position for saying "niggardly". Last time I checked stating facts didn't make me a dumbass but I could be wrong. I think we're on the same side here buddy but I could wrong on that one too.

Because they are such smarties! An asian couple owns the nail salon I go to. They take turns all day running the business and going to class and studying. So admirable.

Racism definitely exists. My boss recently said he will never hire a black person. The one he had working for him was "lazy" among other things. It just so happens this particular person was somewhat lazy - he had a fat trust fund and didn't need to make too much money. He was effective in other ways, though, and the previous manager kept him due to his free services as an unofficial assistant manager.

ANYWAY. It wasn't because he was black. My boss has seen other, worse employees that are white but disregards this.

HOWEVER, I don't think affirtive action or special privileges help them any - forget whether I feel disadvantaged by them.

They can sue if there is discrimination and other methods to redress it other than special programs. As a woman I am discriminated against as well, but I will prove myself rather than get a "special placement" which would only lead to FURTHER discrimination, in my opinion.
