We kill single cells every day in normal medical procedures. We kill huge collections of cells every day in normal medical procedures. Nobody thinks it is murder. If you have had a wart removed, or your tonsils out or an appendectomy then they removed large groups of cells and in other cases entire organs and it not considered murder.

You have to be in a crazed idiotic mind cramp to think that even a million cells is a human being. And as far as that single cell goes, in the first five weeks what is growing is the placenta you ignoramus. Unless you want to tell me that afterbirth is a human being then certainly what is in the womb for the first five weeks is not human.

The problem with all you godbots is that you have taken the understanding of reality from two thousand years ago and are trying to enforce it as if we learned absolutely nothing in those intervening years. You are all just a bunch of idiots.

Sorry about that but the opposition doesn't care about the facts. Never did. The only thing that appears to be getting through is the insults. In any case their inane arguments are every bit as insulting to thinking and educated peoples as any overt insult. The fact that such thoughts are gaining common currency in our society indicates that people are not being shocked and insulted enough by such idiocy. Letting such ideas pass as any other reasoned and educated position is the insult. It insults our civilization.

Merlin, when the day comes that you can point out the soul to people and we have movies showing the cell being fertilized and the soul entering it then you may have a point, but until that happens it is just the superstition talking and there is no reason to favor your particular superstitions over anyone else’s.

Also in fertility clinics they kill zygotes all the time. What is the old saying, "You have to crack eggs to make an omelet." Well they crack a lot of eggs in those clinics and many of them are zygotes. Oh and if you wanted to make such a film such clinics would be a great place to film the whole thing since it happens in a Petri dish. But maybe you won't be able to film it because souls entering zygotes doesn't happen in laboratories? Well maybe so, but if it is so then there are a lot of people walking around who have no soul and thus according to your definition of human are not human and if they were to be killed it would not be murder. Fancy that.

Merlin replies; Even Merlin does not know some things. Even Stephen Hawking or Einstein or (insert imminent physicists name here) is not able to complete some theories. Even the scientific community accepts incomplete and flawed theory as fact.

In science you must have faith. In deity based religions you must have faith. When do we have a soul? I don't know! God the ID doesn't speak directly to me (yet). I'll get back to you when it does.

I wouldn't, at this time, (damn I sound like Clinton) take the chance that the cells, fetus, babies, etc., was self aware and had what I call a soul. If one desires to kill said cells, fetus and or babies (Up to a certain developmental degree and circumstance) indiscriminately, in today's world our (your) law says its ok.

Merlin responds; I don't recall asking anyone to favor my hypothesis / theroy/ideas over anyone else, that is for the reader to decide. I have no delusional ideas that my ideas are the only way of describing a system.
