Naah, they never much cared about things like bedttime, as long as we didn't keep -them- awake. If THAT happened, all Hell might break loose ( usually in the form of a weeklong lack of processed sugar; hell for a kid! ), but we only -really- caught it if
A: We did something really and truly could-kill-your-little-sister-type dangerous, like with the rifle above, or
B: Were being a complete hassle in a cramped kitchen full of fire, hot metal, sharp knives, and boiling water....whch kinda falls under ( A ), now that I thik about it.

so tinybear you got children? and would/did you breastfeed? assuming that you can lol
I saw a terrible picture on the Internet of a Japanese father all trussed up with baby bottles in just the right place. It was some kind of invention, that went with another one that involved something like bandaids on those rascally things so that the blue boys wouldn't be wondering at them in public.

We'd solve a lot of problems if all the boys just had a set of their own. lol.

I don't see what''s "prude" about not wanting to see a baby breast feeding while you're in the middle of eating at a restaurant; especially if that restaurant happens to be somewhat expensive. Yes, breast feeding is natural process of motherhood, but so is changing diapers; would you suggest that the mother do THAT at a dinner table in a public restaurant as well?

Well, the point's being made that changing diapers takes less time, so dinner won't get cold. So what they're saying is the paramount consideration's the mother's entitlement to a hot meal. What more can be said? You can't argue against a hot meal, can you?

Changing diapers is not comparable to breast feeding like that...

Diapers might contain faecal material that not only smells but could contain pathogens. Health and safety regulations kick in and all you know?

Health and safety regulations are victimless crimes. They should be abolished. In the meantime, we can ignore them. :p

If, however, a patron were to catch The Funk from the dirty diaper, or puke because of the stench, a hefty lawsuit could ( perhaps should? ) be forthcoming.

And the lawsuit would fail. What callous judge would order a mom to pay compensation to oversensitive diners when all she was doing was caring for her cute little baby, eh?

I find it somewhat amusing that you think breast feeding is anymore sanitary than diaper changing.

It's not? What can be more unsanitary than baby's poo?

I'd rather fall in a vat of breast milk than a vat of the other stuff.

I'll have to agree with Kate on that one, Waychel. But I still say the lawsuit would fail. Well, unless you go and smear the stuff on the other table. That would be different.

I know that the mother's milk is effectively sterile and Poop isn't.

That doesn't make sense. How can official law be crime? You need some rest...

A breach of any health or safety regulations is a crime. That's what I meant.

Maybe you're right. I should go to bed. *Yawn*

if you dont want to see a baby eating its lunch dont watch, simple and also no one said anything about changing any nappies at the table any more than saying older babies ie adults should shit or piss at the dinner table!

Hmm strikes me that diaper changing is not actualy a natural process. They are not part of the mother in the same way that breasts are and are not produced in a natural way.

What a rediculous statmement to suggest they are the same thing or to even try to compare the two. Some people will naturally not like breast feeding in public, and that is their choice. But those who wish to should be freely allowed to do what nature intended them to do. If you are sitting opposite Gawking at the poor woman's breasts while she is doing it then it is you that has the problem. Go see a doctor.
