| Lord Teh Location: Seattlul, WA Posts: 486 | This is ridiculous. She should be able to divorce the abuser and never have to look back. There is a good chance that the child is not the husband's. Even if he is, the father has shown himself to be abusive towards her, and there is a good chance he would be abusive towards the child as well. She did the right thing to keep the child away from him even if he was the real father. Abusing your wife breaks any marriage vow and is an ultimate abuse of marriage. His actions render her obligation of marriage null and void, and she has absolutely no obligations towards him. |

| Volcanic Erupter Location: Hong Kong (for now) Posts: 7,106 | Me too. By the time the judge revoked the divorce, Mrs. Hughes had already disclosed the pregnancy AND the identity of the father. There were no grounds for revoking the divorce. The judge made a mistake. |
