Just read an article about a study that shows that that we have gut feelings about politics--literally--and that our political attitudes and behaviors are reflected in our biology.

I could have posted this in the politics or in the science section, but I was curious about what you all thought about the possible social implications of this.
So . . . thoughts? Comments?
The study is a descriptive study offering little to no theory of why the correlation is one way and not the other as far as which reaction relates to conservative and vice versa. I don't think the mere description of such among other descriptions of morphological characteristics correlated to political style will relieve frustration since the conclusion is operating on the perceiver and not the possessors of the "illogical inflexibility of political opponents."

I think the gut reaction to politics is because of never holding true to promises of politicians, the way they dress and behave and also the never ending hate from parents that is relayed to youth.

In a way, it goes with how conservatives often call for "moral guardians" to defend the public against obscenity.

Am I projecting or are there a great many people who seem to want to let businesses run everything under the mistaken assumption that this means more prosperity and hence more bread? I need a reality check. Is it valid to say that liberals are more interested in real freedom than conservatives/beltway libertarians/Ron Paul?That , of course, inevitably reduces to an age-old formula:
