| Molten Ash Location: San Diego, CA Posts: 105 | I saw it and loved it, but you'll only like it if 1)Enjoy Southpark like humor 2) Find the idea of dolls imporsonating humans is funny 3) Can stand 15 minute lulls of non humor and a couple cases of poor written humor. Otherwise it's a hoot and you'll never see anything like it again. Suburbanite, I love you reviews though. I guess you could say they're very "strait to the point." |

I thought it would be a huge success, because it's different and just plain weird. But I understand why it isn't. A few years ago, I had this girlfriend who used to watch all kinds of old campy programs. Like, the original Batman, Dark Shadows, and Thunderbirds 2065. Thunderbirds is what Team America is based on. At first, I hated this show, but they kinda grow on you. The overacting and cheesy production values are where the humor comes in. You have to find the laughs. So, I don't think it was a big hit, because it's a bit "ahead of its time" in it's retro concept, if that made sense. If your not a fan of that, it takes a while getting used to it. I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Is it as bad as Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow? That movie died choking on a turd and came back to life as a zombie. Plot holes galore. The movie must have been a good half-hour or so longer due to the weird gaps. Maybe it stunk more before it was chopped up. Angelina Jolie? They advertised her as if she was a main character. Try ten minutes tops in the film. Gwynneth Paltrow? A mannequin has more facial expression than her. Sub, I will take your word and not see Team America. Advertisements are designed to show only the good parts. Take the word of someone that saw it over an ad. |

| God is good Location: Down by the river, stealing your water Posts: 1,518 | Ah, over two years later, you might be thrilled to hear there's Saw 2 and 3 out. Ray won some awards. And I haven't seen Team America, but I laughed at the trailers. Perhaps the trailers contained the only funny parts though. Wow why am I responding to such an old thread? Maybe I'm just wondering if anyone's seen Team America. |
