If you ask me, judging someone's - male or female - worth on an arbitary number, over a particular timescale, says more about the person doing the judging than anything else. People are complex, saying they're only worthwhile if they fit specific criteria (and flawed ones, at that, as my statistics point proved) is ... limiting.
Sex is as instinctual as breathing. It's in our blood to procreate. Marriage is a falacy of the human body. We deprive ourselves of these things so we can think that we are more civilized than other species or even other people. And while I don't mind people having values, I do think that sex before marriage is no longer taboo, nor do I think that is an issue.

For you maybe but to others it is a very important issue. So long as we have silly religions telling people that virginity is a better protection than condoms we will continue to have std's spread around. Africa is a very good example of that.

I have never understood why ascetism is supposed to be more moral. It seems to me that rejection of the pleasures of the world has done most human cultures a lot of damage. Life is hard enough for most people without making it any harder by taking away what pleasures it can provide.

As I see it, if they're going get all hung up over the fact that they didn't pop your cherry first (not your's in paticular Cru, just generally speaking/adding to what you said) and can't get past that or keeps bringing it up...... would anybody seriously want to deal with that for the rest of their life? (ie: marriage)
That'd be the first sign to dump their virgin arse to the curb.... because if they're going to make such a big deal out of that, what else in your life are they going to freak out about and give you a hard time over?
Myself, I wasn't going around tossing my dip stick into mysterious holes, left, right and centre at a young age, but I did eventually forget my virginity somewhere when I was 19 because I was for the most part kinda fed up and wanted to see what sex was all about.
My first "Serious" AKA: sexual relationship I had was with someone who was a couple of years younger then I, yet had about 5 or 6 sexual partners before me.
In fact, after that, all of my other relationships following were with women who all had sex prior to me strutting by with my wit and charm...... and my damn good looks too I might add.
To me, all the term Virgin means is someone who doesn't know wtf they're doing in bed and someone you need to sorta teach how not to break something off or jab in the wrong direction...... and to hold out longer.
What I see Virgin meaning to religion is a means to keep people ignorant of something that brings pleasure, to stay fearful until your married, then you're stuck with someone who might be horrible in bed for the rest of your life...... and they hope you breed like rabbits because you're also not supposed to use condoms or birth control, since it's a means of abortion...... well some religions believe that anyways.
