    Is Sex worse than Violence.

I have noticed somthing intresting in our society recently.

That it is generally considered worse for children/teens to witness sex or nudity on TV/Movies than acts of violence.

So why does society believe it is okay for children/teens to see intense violence like murder or torture on TV rather than see a woman's breast.

Because movies with lots of violence in them will get a PG-13 rating but a movie with a sex scene or any nudity will get an R rating. I find this very curious, and intresting.

The point raised by you is very much valid and interseting at the same time.

Yes, our society has made sex or sex scenes worse than violence, but mainly for children and teens. Sex though attached more intensely with every person has been considered somehow ugly in the open, particularly for teens & under teens children. Society world over has considered sex to be enjoyed only after some matured age of every person. At lower age sex there is possibility of weaker offsprings production, damage to the very youg mothers reproduction system, then question of proper look after of the infants of very young parents... etc have compelled the society to put requiste ban on young ones to get acustomed to Sex affair at teens level. While; no such direct outcome effect is presumed from watching terror scenes or activity. Teens would themselves also won't get involved into life threating violence so easily but would enjoy sex with more natural sex instinct attraction, not bothering for the outcome of weak infants, their raring, own setting up in life professionally and the like.

I have put my views! Others might think differently.

Yet how silly to keep children ignorant of sex. So that when they do become teenagers they have not a clue about how to be a good lover or how to prevent unwanted pregnancy.

If they were taught from a young age then possibly by the time it becomes attractive to them they will be able to handle it with some knowledge and maturity.

I think violence is much worse than sex. You can't really teach a teenager much about violence that's going to do them any good in life, rather than to teach them not to do it, but sex is a part of life. It's going to happen eventually, if you have teenagers that don't know anything about sex you're going to end up with a lot of unwanted pregnancies and STDs. Kids shouldn't be exposed to this until they're around 13 or 14 when sex is becoming more common. If they see these sex scenes they might just learn something about how to practice safe sex.

Yes I can see your point, it makes logical sense. I think that being exposed to sex scenes in movies today without any proper education in the subject would likely lead to those impacts, though with the proper education in sex, pregnancy, and STDs I think those impacts would be less apparent. Though I don't think that would reduce the odd sociological stigma attached to sex. For example the sort of hush up and never speak about it attitude in the more conservative families.

Yeha! That is very valid point ! Many countries have started sex education essential in primary classes in view of fast spread of V.Ds and AIDS etc.

Depends on who the fight is with. sex after a good row with the misses is a great way to get laid.

I think its because glorified sex is far more tempting for teens then glorified violence.
