| i should just wear a shirt that says Jesus is a lie, and if they tell me to take it off il tell them to ban all religious items and clothing from school and to close youth for Christ, makes me sick i live by one code that every one should try "DON'T TALK ABOUT CRAP YOU DON'T KNOW!" |

| is youth for christ student or school operated? Like, is it a club, or is it something the school or teachers created? If it's school run, there's an issue. Knowledge is power, use it well. Don't fear the unknown, seek to understand it |

| It seems like whoever drafted the rule did not take time to look into either concept. Ethically speaking if they are going to ban one "religion" they should ban them all. I don't think "the worship of Satan" or the occult have a large enough following to be legally declared a religion. I could be wrong though. -Chris "I guess we are the people our parents warned us about." |

| I can't seem to locate the info, but if Satanism isn't a official religion according to the courts it's fair game to ban it. Blame bureaucracy. Quote:

| Sort of. The ideal of a "dark spirit" is prevalent in many religions. Satanists don't readily view Satan in the context of a dark and evil spirit. People that worship Satan as the Christian ideal are even more rare than Satanists. -Chris "I guess we are the people our parents warned us about." |

| Satanism is far from being a genuine religion, and is further along towards being a parody of Christianity than having any identity of its own. Still, it does have a sizable following, and a large sector of relatively benign adherents. I submit, that if the educational system is to claim some sort of impartiality, the shirt ought to be allowed. However, if they are comfortable banning one set of beliefs, by all means, in the interest of common fairness, ban all of them. Christianity, Buddhism, Islam- the proverbial works. Balance. ..."Light up the Darkness" - Bob Marley... |

| Ah... I like this shadowy thinking... very much I like it. However, there is an issue with the idea of Satan having a religous following as recognised by the State. Unfortuantly it is not recognised... however.... there are many ways to piss off a christian. ![]() Here are some t-shirt ideas.... Jehovah Witnesses the one and only true religion. Scientology is Sensational. (on the front and then...) Bahá'í is Better. (on the back) America needs more Muslims for Allah. |

For example no religion can practice animal or human sacrifices. They can't use Peyote (famous Native America case). They can't use freedom of religion to practice multimarriage or marriage to children.

If you want to pretend that atheism is a religion, go right ahead. But I do have a few questions: If atheism is a religion, then what exactly is not? If a court decides something, is it instantly accurate or true? Grandpa h. One proposed to be roasted at the stake should not douse himself in flammable oil. Yoruba proverb
