Thats just 4, I picked from many. How about plumbing and electricians, and maintance, and engineering, and defence and so on these jobs are done mostly by men, because women are not up to them. Civilisation isnt called man made for nothing. And if we depended on you guys to do then all instead, nothing would ever happen.

I think it is time for adults to start acting liking like adults. I am attracted to the feminine form. Regardless of my attraction, people deserve the same treatment from me whether they are different sexes, sexual orientation, a different pigment color, or a posses a different belief structure. I judge the individual, not the group.

There has always been the threat of war. And scientific fields have historically been dominated by *men* so I would say proportionally that the blame for *those* specific risks falls squarely on "men". (if we're playing the "blame game")

I think women and men need to be treated equally. But to the topic of gender roles, I find it quite interesting that in the animal kingdom there are gender roles, where the mother takes care of the young and the father hunts for the family, I know this is not the case with every species but it is common with most and it is interesting that our species attempts to reverse those roles from time to time, not that that is wrong or right, just interesting.

I need gender roles, because without them, I don't have an idenity.
Feminism came along, and made my place in society redundant.
Women no longer need me to protect them, or financialy support them.
Because of this, I hate feminism. I want gender roles back, so I am in unquesionably in control.
I might not be capable of earning a womans respect through normal means, so I need them to be under my control.
Equality isn't good enough, I need superiority.

You can't get rid of socialism by taking away womens' equal rights, that's ridiculous. The gaining of those rights didn't cause socialism. If you want to change things, volunteer for a political party, or do something constructive instead of blaming women for everything under the sun.

Just because different things changed in our society in the same time period, doesn't mean that one caused the other. Socialism happened for a lot of factors, it's not that simple.

I like equal rights for women, and I couldn't be more anti-socialism, I'm a libertarian. Those philosophies aren't mutually exclusive.

We should have had women running & elected as presidents.. vp's.. etc,etc.. from the get go.

Women are still underpaid for doing the same (or superior) jobs as men. I think this country is hypocritical about many things. They like to talk the talk - especially to the rest of the world.. but.. it isn't the truth. We have very much more to do as far as "equal rights for all" - will we see it in 5 years.. 25.. 35..??

The Medical and Artistic Renaissance came about 100 years before the major civil rights movement in America and the UK even had their beginning.

Women have equal rights in society becasue they fought for it.(Suffragettes(sp?) anyone?,) but when the time came they were prepared to put aside their 'cause and work in munitions factories, farms, building sites etc.during WWI. It was because they proved that they are equal that most of society regards them as such.

Anomon, have you ever considered that less women take part in construction because it's so male-orientated? They're more likely to face discrimination there than in the office.

Tommy, construction work is very dirty, physically demanding and often dangerous, thats why they don't take part in it.
