Not dominated but certainly more influenced, see the Etruscans for a good example of this, close to Rome and eventually dominated by them, the Romans themselves said they were too womanly.
Sounds like locker-room banter. It doesn't mean the Etruscans were actually girly.

Also, remember, the Spartans were the ones with the "Agoge" system of education which was both manly and less then manly.

Most cultures were male dominated then, as now, the Romans were just more so.
How so?

Would you consider every woman like Margaret Thatcher but?
She thought more like a man, thats why she could make quick logical decisions, based on reason, not emotion.
A lot of women have this ability, its called using their masculine side.
Maybe, but it could also be called using their logical, reasonable, emotionless side. The reason I drop the masculine part is because it wasn't a man using these traits, only farther proving that they aren't male exclusive.

The right was there so no one argued with the head of the house which was the father.
I doubt it needed to be carried out much, and it would have been used in an extreme circumstance only. The Romans were a very practical people, so it would have been for a good reason, our soft western society cant relate to this of course, but it was a much harder world for civilisation to be in then
No, our soft western society has trouble with infantcide. But on that topic, why should it be allowed? Again, that isn't macho-ism, its just the concept of the state over the individual.

Just being honest. Your posts were incredibly insulting. Not once in my life have I ever heard such blatant sexism.
Ah, were you here for ninesteps? Because I think he won that category. And don't let him bait you (wouldn't it be ironic if "him" was a "her"?)

And we are off topic. I'm going to make another thread if there isn't one already...

No, not you WW.

I was hoping Amnon was going to explain himself. I'm not exactly sure of his implication. I'm hoping it's what I think it is.

Anmon is going to take a while as he's been buried in arguments. ( :p )

I'll ask next time he speaks.

This is "Street car named Desire" all over again.

I know fem nuts who love people for many other reason (quite well).
Money and sperm...well no. That's not what she was like at all. She just didn't like submitting to the standard, which actual is what you described. Out for money and procreation.

Ever been to a NOW meeting? Rabidly mad full of hatred uber feminists pushing through sinister social engineering ideas, usually endorsed in public schools and workplaces by the government at all levels afterwards.
Do you really think they have any place for men besides as sperm donors and walking atms?

No, but I somehow doubt you have either.

Dude, I used to go out with a feminist, the kind that don't like men opening doors for them because they think it's patronizing, and trust me. She had as much money as I had, and she wouldn't let me treat her at dinner. Also, she did not want to get pregnant so the sperm donor thing is sort of dumb.

Yeah but Ive read a lot of accounts of what goes on inside them, not just from men either, but from feminists who left turned off by how anti male they were.

Yeah well thats just typical immature feminist thinking, men don't do that to patronise, they do it out of love.

Well good for her, that usually changes after you marry but.
And I'm not surprised she didn't want to get pregnant, feminists are not that fond of having kids, this still doesn't get in the way of their party line of denigrating men to little more use than sperm suppliers or walking bank accounts to pay alimony when the marriage inevitably collapses.

fine, what was the feminist's reason for dating me?
What was it?
It couldn't possibly be because she liked me. No way.

There really isn't a difference. One could say it's like the relationship one has with a sibling. Incest, i don't really have a stance on.
