a man told his doctor about his drinking problem. "I'm not going to lie."

then he gets a notice from the state that his license is being revoked. has his 4th ammendment right to privacy been violated? does the government or a doctor have the right ot break the doctor-patient bond of confidentiality?

if i tell my doctor i like to fish will i get fisherman magazines in the mail?

# IV: "The right of people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects agains unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but on probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to the searched and the persons or things to be seized."

Nowhere is mentioned "privacy" or "doctor-patient bond of confidentiality".

However, one could argue his license was seized without due process.

I did tell my doctor I enjoyed sex, and I am still waiting.

there is a similar sort of confidentiality between a lawyer and the defendant. are we to assume that seeking counsel from doctors is no longer safe? this cannot be allowed to become the norm. this is where the patriot act becomes evil.

I have a friend whose dentist smelled alcohol on his breath, called the cops while he was in the chair, and they nailed him as he drove out of the parking lot (after he was billed for the dental work, of course).
