So what, the libertarian party going to get 1% popular vote in 08? MY GOSH the mainstream parties are going to embrace limited government ideals for sure! I mean, just how is this going to be regulated? With police? Police with stop watches at the entrance counting cars? It doesn't make sense. I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water. |

| Retired Posts: 7,312 | Bone heads? I take 10 seconds to ensure my order is correct before moving from the window. What point is there to the convenience of a drive-through, if I have to stop and get out if my order is not right? What is the big deal about that small part of the process? It's as important as ordering, paying, and being handed the food, yet no one suggests I skip any of those steps so that they may proceed in line faster. | automatic Posts: 454 | Now that everyone is raising their prices (including tim horton's) I say I should be able to sit my ass in my car in the parking lot and have an employee run the damn coffee out to ME!!! Hahha, just joking. Honestly though, I knew this would come up sooner than later. The time horton's here is horrible for obstructing traffic.. it actually causes delays on a lot of route's to downtown. (Maybe if the quit spiking their "coffee" with crack-cocaine people wouldn't be lining up like sheep to get their fix.) I say it should be up to the owner of the drive-thru to have a property in an appropriate location with the appropriate size for a drive-thru that won't block traffic in the event they get high customer traffic (which they should anticipate anyways) For the idling bit... YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT TO DO! I can buy 10 SUV's if I want and let them all idle in my backyard... its my right and you try to take it you'll have to.. uhh... go through ME! Yarrrr EDIT: Realized I used a joke that was just used by someone else. Didn't know there was more than one page to the thread... oh well... give it up for being unoriginal! This is my signature. |

I forgot they don't trust their citizens to think for themselves up north. White Rabbit Lyrics Artist(Band):Jefferson Airplane White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane One pill makes you larger And one pill makes you small And the ones that mother gives you Don't do anything at all Go ask Alice When she's ten feet tall And if you go chasing rabbits And you know you're going to fall Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar Has given you the call Recall Alice When she was just small When men on the chessboard Get up and tell you where to go And you've just had some kind of mushroom And your mind is moving low Go ask Alice I think she'll know When logic and proportion Have fallen sloppy dead And the White Knight is talking backwards And the Red Queen's "off with her head!" Remember what the dormouse said: "FEED YOUR HEAD_______________ FEED your head" So much for the Queen of Democracy. Only when logic and proportion have fallen sloppy dead will Hillary be appointed the Queen of America. Her polls are all falling and she doesn't know whether to shit or go blind so she just cackles with that phony laugh. That has nothing whatsoever to do with the question I posed, or pollution in general, but thanks.

So I answered. Idle ICE cars = pollution. My hometown is only 60,000 people but we have over 100 drive thru's. If every driver visiting those locations either parked and walked in, or drove a car capable of no emissions at idle then there would be obvious reduction of auto emissions. This is where regulation comes in. Because as you yourself showed most people don't view idle as a major source of pollution. If they are not aware where is their motivation to stand up and demand idle friendly cars. What do you say to an atheist who sneezes? Yourdeadthatsit! - Dane Cook

![]() BANNED Location: Ohio Province, Rep. of Comerica Posts: 7,320 | No, I stated that according to governmnet sources, internal comsution engins emit the bulk of their emmissions at start up, and I asked why turning the car off for a minute would equate to "less pollution" if the government information is correct. My point being that, like most of the positions I've seen you advocate, the result is presumed, and not known. Quote:
What did show? I asked why idling cars are seen as "the" polluters, and not cars that start, and stop.
