Truth? No, your opinion, which you're entitled to. But it should be quite obvious that it's hardly a universal truth. Those of us who live in the real world and interact with real people can cite enough exceptions to the posted generalities as to render them uncommon.
A lot of you on this website are always making your own hypocritical stereotype in this assumtion that anyone with views of reality that are not completely twisted through the meat grinder of liberal fasicm is instantly an uneducated neanderthal knuckle-dragger. When in reality, most liberals tend to be one-dimesional shills who spend all of their time thinking of nothing but 'diversity' and prejudice and "you can't stereotype!!!!" that they end up becoming incredibly dumbed down, without the basic skills to navigate in the world, having never learned anything from their experience in the world.

When I say 'all,' I am saying 'for practical purposes.' I'm beginning to think you are an ad hominem.

You probably are basing your observations upon your own personal experiences. Go to a Pro football game and tell me what you see for women. Go to a beach and tell me you see butch women. It is all in your head. Seek and ye shall find.

I forgot. Go to 5th ave midtown Manhattan in NYC at noon time, Mon - Fri. Or the theater district on the West side on early Saturday evening. Sit and observe the women. You will be knocked out if you are a straight male with any tetstosterone at all. Seems like you need to get out more and widen your circle of observations.

Women are supposed to take advice how to "catch and keep a man" from someone who thinks of them as nothing but mindless, narcissistic, conniving, superficial, week sex objects?
Regardless of what I 'think,' women are mindless and conniving.

But ah, you're finally starting to get it: Today American women are royally fuc*ed up. (That means in many, many ways)

My fault or theirs?

You've said this, and the thing we find fault with you the most is generalization.
You make these sweeping statements and say that this is true for everyone. I've probably met a more diverse group of people then half the people on this forum and can say that there are many exceptions to your generalizations. Your big thing is that when they escape the "feminine" culture by being "Butch" you don't like it. You then seem to think every other guy has to think like you and only like girls from the "fem" group.
Its not that we hate people who stereo-type, its that I can think of a whole host of exceptions to your stereotypes.

And everyone needs to stop personally attack. It's not just one person, this is getting out of hand. Calm down and remember this doesn't matter at the end of the day, it just all in good fun :)
And this is ruining the fun.

Don't forget this is all in good fun!

Instead of Dear Abby, the love lorn should have been checking the "Dear Sociopathic Troll" column on Volconvo.

I would prefer to masturbate with a hand full of broken glass, thanks.

And Nine_Steps, DO NOT take this as a flame, but I have to ask.

Are you gay?

I ask because you seem to have some very deep seeded issues with women.
Are so pathetic that you have to resort to that?

*Yawn* Just a cheap way to try to get an emotional reaction- try to 'test' me like I'm some kind of redneck caveman. If I was gay, why would I be wasting my time grinding an axe with women? Everyone knows gay men get along FABULOUSLY with women.

Why would you assume any fault?

Unless you are raising your daughter to think she's a princess and deserves to be put on a pedestal all her life? Don't be surprised when she turns out to be everything you hate in a woman.

Or perhaps you'd raise her more like you'd raise a son? More like the knight in shining armor with the ability to take care of herself? Even then, according to your thought processes, she's going to turn out butch.

Either way, she can't win.

That's all well and fine and works well in an academic discussion, but not in the real world. It's called nature. Nature dictates what men and women are attracted to and the vast majorty of them are attracted to the masculine and the feminine. This is mostly a problem of laziness on women's part. They demand men be masculine, which they are attracted to, but too lazy and worthless to work at the corresponding counterpart. Nature, it seems, doesn't give a *^&% whether you like 'traditional gender roles.' Aint' that a bitch? SORRY.

Now, can we get back to the topic, please? How women are so nauseatingly butch in Ameica today.
What I posted is very relevant to the topic. It points out just how overused, silly, and maladapted the typical views of both sexes are (including the use of terms such as "butch") and combats the social misconditioning that you demonstrate so well.

Men seem to like a wide variety of women. Otherwise, you'd only ever need about one issue of Playboy with one picture in it per year. It would be very silly of nature to say that there is only one acceptable type of woman to be with, as it would result in extinction pretty quickly. I prefer a man who's not a knuckle-dragger and who prefers a girl who's not an airhead. This combination is very possible. I won't mind if he sometimes pays more for a haircut than me if he doesn't mind if I sometimes indulge in a Star Trek marathon. See? Problem solved.

To quote a song from the 1930s:

Masculine women, feminine men.
Which is the rooster? Which is the hen? It's hard to tell 'em apart today...

Girls were girls and boys were boys
When I was a tot.
Now we don't know who's who or even what's what...

In a roundabout way, it was that time period that started all of this misogynistic nonsense. The Great Generation taught their young men that expressing emotion was not ok. During this era, as women finally began to gain some rights, the idea of equality clashed with traditional ideologies such as "separate spheres" and Social Darwinism. "Separate spheres" dictated that the woman's sphere was the home: cooking, cleaning, child-rearing, household finances, etc; and that the man's sphere was out in the world. Never betwixt should the two meet. Social Darwinism took it further in saying that the more different men and women were, the more evolved the race was. This was the kind of thinking that culminated in Hitler: a very disillusioning thing for the whole world, and one of the reasons that we now have women's roles much extended. What you have to realize, at any rate, is that Social Darwinism was one of the major justifications for racism in that era. Minority women, both black and immigrant, were often forced by circumstances to work in manual labor oriented jobs (in factories and such). White supremacists would look at this and say that since these women were so much like men, it meant that their race on the whole was less evolved and thus inferior.

So, knowing where these twisted ideas of gender roles and their separation come from, do you (and others, such as nine steps) still espouse them?

Sir. I AM a redneck caveman, and I am stunned at your bizarre generalizations of women. The question was sound and buried deep in reason. If you are not gay, than I am having issue understanding how sex could be possible between you and a woman. You seem too seriously dislike women to an extent that only sadomasochism would suffice as arousing to you.

Lets think about this; You made one thread devoted to your unambiguous displeasure of a womens mind.

Then you make a thread devoted to your unambiguous displeasure of a womens looks.

Your lack of a "No" to my question will stand as a yes.

LOL to Maryjane and another day!!

Just can't stop myself - I'll chime in and bet that 2 of the 4 females are actually transgendered lesbians.

I'm not trying to say I agree with this guy, especially about his homophobia.
However, I'm sorry, as far as women being equally as smart as men though, I have to say, they need to put up or shut up because I haven't been impressed with their track record. I'm not saying men and women aren't equal. I'm just not saying they are either, its yet to be proven.
In my own personal life, none of the people I consider smart are women. Their fault or mine?
Well, based on the track record I've seen from NS, there are a lot of women that are smarter than him. I know for a fact that my wife is smarter than him.

Hell, she's (almost) smarter than me.

Keith
