Just did that instead of my math homework. Sad?
In today's contemporary society, where results had be scientifically analyzed to ensure advertisements maximum effect (and the existence of this effect), i think we are all inherently changed by advertising we see every day more than we'd like to be. Sure, most individuals believe they don't make free-will base decisions based off of advertising, but then again, we don't. Advertising gives us knowledge of products that can very well be helpful to us but are intentionally embellished to boost the image of the product before buying. I think advertising is so powerful because of this: It's like seeing a friend with a thing we like and being immaturely envious (just because they have it) except we don't have to have the bitter factions of envy because 1) the dude shaving isn't your friend and 2) they're clearly offering it to you. I'm not even getting into the whole deal of target-setting, image dreaming, and sex appeal... Anybody disagree?
