I am writing a debate speech about how a person must pass a gun safety course before purchasing a gun or if they already own a gun. I have to write it as if I am advocating for the law. Any good points in support of this law that people can offer? Any good websites I can look at?

also consider making a link between learning to drive and handling a gun

you are not allowed on a public highway until you've acheived a pass or have a responsible driver with you
