Same here man.. click on "Listen to my music" for a sample.

We should totally co-op on a project.
Sure as soon as I get some free time. Could be a lot of fun.

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

So much music, even borderline techno trance!

Prodigy, Slyver, Kim Leoni, love it all!

Interesting I notice a link to beatport in this thread, off topic but does the forum use keywords to assign adds based on whats written in the first thread?

What do you say to an atheist who sneezes?

Oh man. Sorry to ressurect this thread, but one electronic act which deserves a mention has to be the KLF. Any band that empties a machine gun into a group of fans, dumps a dead sheep on the audience, deletes their entire back catalogue of work, and burns all their profits in the name of art deserves a place in this thread.

    FUCK THE MILLENIUM

I think he means the 1000th year and means the literal translation (jk)

I love all music that can make me think up ideas. Only exceptions are some kinds of folk and country and the dumb kind of rap.

Lester: Boy, you need something else outside of this.
    McNulty: Like what?
Lester: A life, Jimmy. You know what that is? It's the stuff that happens while you're waiting for moments that never come.

I know nothing of the genres or the sub genres or the artists. I am not into the scene at all.

But it can be really really fun to listen too. I really like it. I wouldn't by an album it; because I know it would probably get old quickly.
Luckily, theres so much of it around, that I can listen to a new song every day.

I like these kinds of things:

    Negativland - "My Favorite Things"
YouTube - Negativland - "My Favorite Things"

Post by post, building his arguments by smashing a couple of theirs -- for America.

Did you know it isn't all TECHNO?

Why is it so unpopular in the USA while thriving everywhere else?

What are you favorite subgenres, tracks, or artists?

    What defines electronic music?

Do you like electronic music? Why?!

Do you hate electronic music? Why?!

If you have something to say about electronic music, say it here.
Depends upon the "mix" and how "electronic" it is. I use a guitar synthesizer on stage sometimes, and record using both the syn and electronic rhythmns. Some all electronic music can be annoying... I'm especially not fond of what grew out of the "New Wave" movement of the 80s. Don't get me wrong, I can be kind of weird with my own work... but weird just to be weird without humor, or taste, is just aggravating at best. I suppose, over all, it depends on whther they're actually trying to make something someone can enjoy, or they're so into experimenting that they forget someone has to listen to what they're creating.

Some of the earliest: less known, ventures into this style were quite pleasurable, for instance Mason Williams with his Baroque-A-Nova and Generatah-Oscillatah.

I suppose to end this post I'd just have to say: if it's candy unto my years: no problem. If it's annoying, or like a cat being dragged over hot coals, no thanks. And some of the renditions that go to far towards over extending the old minimalist trend, well... ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

    Ken's weekly column...

    Inspection.
