Muslim Marriage Consulters - OK to beat wife, just not in her face!

Man I had it wrong! When I thought it was wrong to beat my wife I was incorrect. It is alright to beat my wife as long as I don't strike her face!
LOL religion of peace my ass!

Clip
FOXNews.com - Saudi Marriage 'Expert' Advises Men in 'Right Way' to Beat Their Wives - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News
Quote:
Move over, Dr. Phil, there's a new relationship expert in town.

He's Saudi author and cleric, "Dr." Muhammad Al-'Arifi, who in a remarkable segment broadcast on Saudi and Kuwaiti television in September, counseled young Muslim men on how to treat their wives.

"Admonish them – once, twice, three times, four times, ten times," he advised. "If this doesn't help, refuse to share their beds."

And if that doesn't work?

"Beat them," one of his three young advisees responded.

"That's right," Al-'Arifi said.

He goes on to calmly explain to the young men that hitting their future wives in the face is a no-no.

"Beating in the face is forbidden, even when it comes to animals," he explained. "Even if you want your camel or donkey to start walking, you are not allowed to beat it in the face. If this is true for animals, it is all the more true when it comes to humans. So beatings should be light and not in the face."

His final words of wisdom?

"Woman, it has gone too far. I can't bear it anymore," he tells the men to tell their wives. "If he beats her, the beatings must be light and must not make her face ugly.

"He must beat her where it will not leave marks. He should not beat her on the hand... He should beat her in some places where it will not cause any damage. He should not beat her like he would beat an animal or a child -- slapping them right and left.

"Unfortunately, many husbands beat their wives only when they get mad, and when they start beating, it as if they are punching a wall – they beat with their hands, right and left, and sometimes use their feet. Brother, it is a human being you are beating. This is forbidden. He must not do

No jokes here, no more than gay fundamentalist preachers or blowing up an abortion clinic because all life is sacred is a joke. Or burning the village to save it. Or starving the majority for the common good. After a while you give up on stereotyping specific groups and realize that people are just plain thick.

Destroying America one Volconvo post at a time.

Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause.

Its classical tactic by Muslim apologizers they know that they have no answer so they post bad things about Christianity or some other issue it called red herring fallacy and two wrongs make it right

You think those laws are foolish:

Silly Laws

Quote:
In Ottumwa, Iowa, "It is unlawful for any male person, within the corporate limits of the (city), to wink at any female person with whom he is unacquainted."
Quote:
In Los Angeles, you cannot bathe two babies in the same tub at the same time.
Quote:
In Zion, Ill., it is illegal for anyone to give lighted cigars to dogs, cats, and other domesticated animals kept as pets.
Quote:
In St. Louis, it's illegal to sit on the curb of any city street and drink beer from a bucket.
Quote:
In Hartford, Conn., you aren't allowed to cross a street while walking on your hands.
Quote:
In Baltimore, it's illegal to throw bales of hay from a second-story window within the city limits. It's also illegal to take a lion to the movies.
Quote:
In Oxford, Ohio, it's illegal for a woman to strip off her clothing while standing in front of a man's picture.
Quote:
In Pennsylvania it is illegal to have over 16 women live in a house together because that constitutes a brothel...however up to 120 men can live together, without breaking the law.
Quote:
In Michigan, a woman isn't allowed to cut her own hair without her husband's permission.
Quote:
In New York, it is against the law to throw a ball at someone's head for fun.
Quote:
The state of Washington has passed a law stating it is illegal, I repeat, illegal, to paint polka dots on the American flag.
Quote:
In order for a pickle to officially be considered a pickle in Connecticut, it must bounce.
Quote:
Compulsive gamblers stay out of Richmond, VA: it is even illegal to flip a coin in a restaurant to see who pays for the coffee.
Quote:
Have it your way, but don't share it in OK. This state forbids a person from taking a bite out of another person's hamburger.
Quote:
In the state of New York, you need a license to use a clothesline outdoors.
Quote:
And if any retirees from the circus are thinking about settling down and farming in NC, they are forwarned right here and now that it is against the law in this state to use elephants to plow cotton fields!
Quote:
It is illegal to take more than 2 baths a month within Boston confines.
Quote:
Two people cannot kiss in front of a church.
Here's one from Canada:

Quote:
In Calgary there is a by-law that is still on the books that requires businesses within the city to provide rails for tying up horses.
Quote:
Pennsylvania:

In certain sections of Pennsylvania many years ago, the Farmer's Anti-Automobile society set up some "rules of the road." In effect, they said:

1. "Automobiles travelling on country roads at night must send up a rocket every mile, then wait ten minutes for the road to clear."

2. "If a driver sees a team of horses, he is to pull to one side of the road and cover his machine with a blanket or dust cover that has been painted to blend into the scenery."

3. "In the event that a horse refuses to pass a car on the road, the owner must take his car apart and conceal the parts in the bushes."
Quote:
Utah:

It is against the law to fish from horseback.
Quote:
Ohio:

In Bexley, Ordinance number 223, of 09/09/19 prohibits the installation and usage of slot machines in outhouses.
Quote:
Indiana:

Back in 1924, a monkey was convicted in South Bend of the crime of smoking a cigarette and sentenced to pay a 25 dollar fine and the trial costs.
Quote:
Kansas:

No one may catch fish with his bare hands in Kansas.
Quote:
Oklahoma:

Harthahorne City Ordinance, Section 363, states that it shall be unlawful to put any hypnotized person in a display window.
Quote:
In California, animals are banned from mating publicly within 1,500 feet of a tavern, school, or place of worship.
Now this one's a keeper  :

Quote:
In Kentucky, "No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she be escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club"
As you can see, there are plenty of stupid laws existing everywhere, not just in religions.... whether people practice those laws/rules is another thing.

That last bit is really the crux of the situation, though. The laws you cite really aren't practiced. But beating your wife is very common in the Muslim community. We look at laws like that and think they are silly. Muslim men look at the beating of their wives as not only a right but an allah-ordained obligation.

Put down the pipe for a minute Prax. No one talked about silly laws it is about a Muslim marriage counselor talking about the correct ways to beat their wives!

You only think it's common because of what you hear, much like how everybody still thinks seal hunters still hunt white coats.

What about the vast ammount of Christian families which have some parents who beat not only each other but the kids as well?

And don't tell me that's uncommon, because I know better.

Red herring, Prax. (again...)

Children should be corrected. The manner in which this is done is a matter for a different argument. Wives are a totally different situation. Wives are generally just as capable as their husbands, with variation on both sides. No one should be "beaten". But wives shouldn't be corrected as if they were children either.

Furthermore, based on the fact that these people are talking out in the open about the best way to do it, I would think that the practice is fairly common.

And I'm sure if you dug hard enough there is something as a decent defense or punnishment for the man in some manner. And if not... then don't take up the faith. If they like it... who are you to argue?

Ah well... could be worse.... they could get a lead pipe to the knees so they can perform oral sex faster without argument.

If its acceptable to the saud's to beat your wife where is it our duty to tell them thats wrong?

And on the subject of laws:
In Hartford:

-It's illegal to bounce a pickel twice. ( as opposed to once I guess?)

-It's illegal to kiss your wife on sunday.

-It's illegal to walk backwards after sunset.

What do you say to an atheist who sneezes?

You know, you guys are trying to trivialize the atrocity that is happening to these women, and it kinda ticks me off.

I know its bad but when you think about it would you still have a problem if they were talking about the proper way to beat your brother?

Wow, is there a recommended way to do it? I mean, can I hit him the face?

(By the way, is this another red herring? :))

Two wrongs make a right? Meh? You guys put yourselves on pedestals by putting others below you and stereotyping away, and I came along to remove that pedestal and remind you that you still have the same basic potential for evil. "Rights" aren't being made here.
