Does anyone...anyone...see yet how every single conversation we ever have about the Muslims has to degenerate into a Christianity-is-worse-nyah-nyah p*ing contest? C'mon. Let's leave it for now and stick to the topic.
Muslims and Christians alike are all supernatural/superstitious thinkers, claiming opposite truths. You may think people are saying Christians are worse, but they are just reminding you that Christians are not so holy either. Both parties have been equally effected with beliefs and irrational thinking. It is worthless to mention the misguided nature of one group of supernatural followers without mentioning the other misguided supernatural followers.

No, not really. It is totally gainful and practical to talk about one thing without having to go into an off topic rant about another. I notice that these people don't meander into the injustice of the Hindu caste system or the honor killings associated with Confucianism or the human sacrifices of the ancient Central American tribes whenever they're "mentioning the other misguided supernatural followers". Alternate agenda much?

Good, the point is beliefs are dangerous . And if they infect the mind, then bad things will happen. I think you are a catching on.

nope, you are right. and it reaffirms my stance.

No, you are only reinforcing my point. You'll subvert any topic in order to take a shot at Christianity. Otherwise your arguments might have a little more variety. You single-mindedly attack a faith that you don't like. Even to the point that you will hypocritically overlook the atrocities of some other group in order to use it as a springboard for yet another tired attack on Christianity. I'm right and you know it. All this b.s. about trying to be fair and objective is a ruse and a lie that you use to cover for your glaring prejudices.

Correct, you just listed more reasons why beliefs make people insane. Christians are not the only insane ones. Muslims are too. So are those that follow witchcraft..etc. They are all the magical thinkers that don't use real possibilities as explanations for mysteries.

We talk about Christianity more because we live in a Christian nation in which the majority of Americans are superstitious/supernatural/magical thinkers.

The agenda is against superstitious people, like yourself.

Somehow, I really can't buy that, no matter how superstitiously or magically I try to think about it.

Sigh. How exactly are rez and I supposed to be fair and balanced and harass all the Muslims and Hindus with their heads up their butt on Volconvo when there aren't any? Any long threads about how Scientology is a proven fact for me to comment in? Who would I be speaking to if I lectured the Aztecs on the immorality of human sacrifice and burdens of proof? This is nuts.

I can't speak for rez, but I assure you that all my alts on more multicultural boards regularly bash religions besides Christianity. You and the other western monotheists all have this massive persecution complex. You're not special.

Destroying America one Volconvo post at a time.

Religious controversies are always productive of more acrimony and irreconcilable hatreds than those which spring from any other cause.

If you've read my post on the matter in the religion forum, you'll note that I can tell the difference between an atheist who's just giving an opinion and one who is filled with blind hatred. If you're not the latter, then I wasn't referring to you, so don't worry about it.
