| Sedimentary Rock Location: New Hampshire Posts: 23 | Gay Bashing or not? I am not sure if this is "gay bashing" or not. A homosexual talks trash to you. So you talk trash back. You bring up the fact they are homosexual. Is that gay bashing, even if they talked trash to you first? |

But if your disagreement is about something to which their homosexuality is completely irrelevant, then bringing it up in any fashion would signal either your inability to construct a coherent and relevant defense or your homophobia. | Hot Lava Posts: 2,187 | If your friends and just talking trash for the fun of it then its OK because you both understand that its not really meant. If your enemies and you want to hit him then its OK to call the poncy little poof whatever you want to call him. After all your going to smack him one anyway which is going to hurt a lot more than any name. What exactly is the purpose of talking trash here? Under what circumstances is this happening? |

| Sedimentary Rock Location: New Hampshire Posts: 23 | The long story short is: He dated my best friend. They broke up. She moved on and has a new boyfriend. The ex boyfriend sent her new boyfriend a friend request on myspace. The new boyfriend sent him a message and called him an asshole and a queer for breaking her heart. So he vented to me about my best friend. Then told me to get better friends and this and that. Thats when I started firing my amo about him being gay. |

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route? |

| Altruism Assassin Location: Massachusetts Posts: 4,744 | i was thinking that too, Gay bashing to me would be insulting someone or being hostile to them simply because they are gay. Calling someone gay wouldn't be gay bashing, unless the person was gay and it was intended as an insullt. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |

New BF should be glad he dumped the GF cause now he's got her, and she should be glad if he is indeed gay. He was saving her heartbreak. People make no sense. Seems you and your friends need to think the situation through a bit before getting riled up. I'd have to think you were trying to hurt his feelings, so that would be bashing to me. | Altruism Assassin Location: Massachusetts Posts: 4,744 | This calling each other gay seems to be all locker room talk (though it extends into all male oriented situations), since you all apparently date women. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |

| Altruism Assassin Location: Massachusetts Posts: 4,744 | Most straight men consider being called gay somewhere between insulting their mother and insinuating they're a little small in the crotchal region. I'm used to all male environments, and "dude, you're so gay" is one of the most common statements around. This asts till the late 20s in most men, and never leaves in some. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |
