I will qoute one line from the documentary. "If you stop being an idealist you might as well take a gun and shoot out your brains". Tuff talk, but I agree.

To me it's naive to cling to a system that renders people into mindless, destructive machines. Quote:

Mainstream TV should air this stuff that I saw on your webpage. As I watched it seems not so much the governments that were the main problem, but it was the machines and the conspiracy to make humans slaves of that system of machines. eh?

For me, anarchism is simply common sense. I'm not saying I embody the ideas perfectly, but it makes sense to challenge all authority figures and abstract entities, even the ones we may happen to work for to feed ourselves. As the film suggests, anarchist principles (even if they are not always identified as such) are responsible for improvements in how workplaces function and in life generally. Grandpa h. If you're an idealist I suggest you'll do the same, because you'll never achieve what you seak, as people like me will always mess it up, if it was possible in the first place. (especially if it's something like world peace, like that'll ever happen). “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |

There is also a simple principle that can be applied: If the directions are flawed, if they turn out to be destructive and idiotic--don't enact them. This may mean challenging laws, states, corporate hierarchies, etc. etc. The proverbial shit is hitting the fan around the world, but there are certainly people who have had enough, mostly because they are practical. | Altruism Assassin Location: Massachusetts Posts: 4,948 | All I heard was Idealist, not practicalist (which can coincide, though rarely). I never said practicalists are bad, and I wasn't even talking about a specific ideaology. Plus, real idealists are rare, most will sacrafice what they profess to believe in as soon as it becomes uncomfortable and the are given a way out. “Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.” -Albert Einstein |
