No, thats not how it works. That mentality has been used throughout gradeschool and highschool.
And it's how the free market works!

You offer a product, in this case, it's an enjoyable radio program people are willing to tune into because they gain something from it.

And look which style of radio succeeds, and which style fails miserably...

Amazing that.

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

It couldn't have anything to do with the fact that the Administration has stonewalled any investigations into possible wrongdoings. No, it's because they're totally innocent. Riiiiight.

It cracks me up; these kind of people wouldn't believe Clinton if he told them the sky was blue, but they swallow anything that comes out of the Bush crowd as if God himself whispered it into their ear.

THE GOVERNMENT. IS. ALWAYS. LYING.

I don't believe half of what Bush says, but I don't think he's running this power hungry, corrupt pyramid you folks seem to think is going on.

Remember, Clinton was impeached, Bush.. not gonna happen.

Man, you got me there. Clinton was impeached. I guess that means...

...hey, wait a minute! He was impeached for lying about something that had nothing to do with the welfare of the nation! He was just a victim of a Republican political assassination! My god! This changes everything!

If Clinton can be impeached for absolutely nothing, just think of what we can do to Bush! Hell, maybe we can have him sent to Iraq to be blown up by an IED! Think of the implications of this, people!

Vicchio, how dumb do you think I am?

Oh, okay. That'll help me sleep better at night. You're pretty sure he's not a corrupt President. Phew, really, a weight off my shoulders.

I think the real reason why both hardcore conservatives and liberals both aren't funny is because they're so entrenched in their own idiotic ideology that they are incapable of just viewing the situation for what it is. That's why people like Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are so funny. It's not about ideology at all, it's about what's funny. Recently, conservative material (as in about them, not from them) is funnier so there's more of it to cover.

To people who only watched Stewart for the last seven years he would appear to be a liberal because he makes fun of Bush. You're ignoring the fact that he makes fun of the media and world events in general. See if you can find any clips of the Daily Show when Clinton was president. You also are forgetting, or are not aware, of the Steven Colbert before he got his own show.

On Steven Colbert, I bet you if a Democrat wins in '08 he'll have a change of heart and be a bleeding heart liberal. His shtick is an act, it's satire.

As far as whether comedians are "Liberal" or "Conservative"--comedians are comedians, most are equal opportunity comedians. I laugh at jokes about Clinton and I laugh at jokes about Bush, if it's funny it's funny.

Ben Stein isn't that funny, though I used to watch his gameshow from time to time.

And Dennis Miller isn't funny, either. I have to admit, though, that George W. Bush has said some of the funniest, stupidest things ever conceived.

Is there anyone on the radio that you think qualifies as a "political expert". Talk radio is almost entirely hosted by people just talking about their opinions. Savage is a highly educated man and probably more intelligent than any other host out there. I think he is pretty right on about most of the points he makes and his views, it is just his outbursts and sometimes off color remarks that make him lose credibility but it is also the most entertaining part.

Ben Stein? I don't think I've heard that guy say a funny thing in his life. Dennis Miller, I think has a decent sense of humor but he just uses such sophisticated words that I think it goes over the heads of most people. And George Bush is a laugh riot, I love to watch the collage videos of all the dumb things he has said.I think Sdbest gets the impression that conservatives aren't funny is because they are the ones that are the target right now of almost all the satire out there. When the pendulum swings back the liberals way and they are in power then the humor will be about them.

I think you have a good point. Liberals don't usually laugh at jokes that are at the expense of a liberal and vice versa. I frequently watch the Daily Show and when the butt of the joke is a conservative the crowd claps and cheers but when it is about some liberal person or concept then you can barely hear a giggle out of the audience. This could also be a reason why Sdbest does not think conservatives are funny because odds are the punchlines of their jokes are going to be at the expense of liberals and he will not see that as funny.

I don't think it is a debate whether or not Conservatives can or cannot be funny. What one person thinks is funny another person may not.

Humor is not a Political debate. That is the one problem I am finding about this thread - are you wanting to know whay the Conservatives are not being funny or cracking jokes on Political Issues. Political Issues are not a joke they are SERIOUS and serious for a reason.

Maybe if more Liberals stop trying to find humor in Politics more people would take them seriously.

Political issues in America today are a JOKE because they are essentially false dichotomies created to keep politicians employed.

Clinton broke the Law...

Bush hasn't.

Thus your arguments are all whining and pining for a wet dream that's not gonna happen.

I suppose Drew Carrey can be funny from time to time--but, then again, his humor is rarely overtly political.

Well in the OP it doesn't conservatives lack political humor, it says they lack humor altogether. I didn't know Drew Carey was a conservative or funny but still his humor does not need to be political for it to count.

Hey Milton, here's something for you to consider:

Clinton was impeached, right? Committed a crime.

What crimes has Bush committed? No no, not crimes you CLAIM, any one can make a claim, what laws has Bush broken, and been convicted of?

Another excellent troll thread by Sdbest. Have you got anything actually worthwhile you want to say or do you just constantly post about conservatives? If so, what's your obsession with them?

Actually, you just proved this topic to be false. As you've just shown, the right wing can, indeed, be very funny.

Not even close. Colbert provides the self-parodical right-wing humor. An election result won't change that, because his shtick isn't micking the current president.

Just out of curiosity...have you ever considered living in reality?

If you can get impeached for showing your dick to a government clerk, bombing Iraq should constitute a stoning.

Hey megadeath, he wasn't impeached for that, why don't YOU come back to reality and maybe we can have a discussion, but if that's what you believe Clinton was impeached for... what hope have we that you understand any real complex issues out there?
