Save Jericho - Sign the Petition

YouChoose.net / Save Jericho!

Sign the petition to save one of the best shows on TV. The network is reconsidering bring it back. There are only 6 shows I watch religiously: 60 minutes (not worried about it ever going away), Rome (cancelled), Sopranos (only 1 episode left), The Wire (I advise everyone to watch this one) and Jericho (Best Drama on TV hands down).

Consider it! If you haven't seen the show they offer for free all the episodes online at the cbs website.

Breaking news on the Jericho:

Source: CBS reconsidering decision to axe popular show
• Fan says "educated professionals" are rallying behind show
• Show appeals to young audience; online version well-received
• Network donating 50,000 pounds of protest peanuts to charity

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Fans trumpeting the cause of CBS' canceled drama "Jericho" have caught the network's ear.

CBS, deluged with calls, messages and shipments of nuts signifying viewer displeasure, is reconsidering its decision, a source close to the production said Tuesday.

The source spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to comment publicly. A decision on whether to bring the show back, probably for a midseason run, is imminent, the source said.

"We are tired of the networks (not just CBS) tossing aside quality programming," was the message carried by jericholives.com, one of several Web sites protesting the cancellation. "Enough! We're going to fight for this one."

Clarke Ingram, a "Jericho" fan from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a spokesman for jericholives, said he was optimistic that CBS would find a way to revive the drama about a Kansas town isolated by a nuclear terrorist attack.

I need to rent the DVDs and see it from the beginning. I saw one episode and it was good, but I didn't get into it. I'll sign it for you, though.

CBS: 'Jericho' coming back
POSTED: 9:50 a.m. EDT, June 7, 2007
Story Highlights• CBS moved to bring back "Jericho"
• Fan says "educated professionals" are rallying behind show
• Show appeals to young audience; online version well-received
• Network donating 50,000 pounds of protest peanuts to charity

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- "Jericho" fans who slammed CBS with protests over the drama's cancellation have won the battle: It will return next season, the network said Wednesday.

It was an unusual display of viewer might since networks usually put ratings ahead of even the most passionate, well-organized fan base. But CBS said the show deserved another chance, while cautioning that it must prove it has wider appeal.

Good info, thanks, but I hate watching TV from the PC. I'll just rent it.

Nope, my only TV addiction is Heroes.

I watched because I liked the premise, but overall I give it failing grades for acting, directing, and drama.

Still, I did tune every week because I assumed something wwas going to get resolved.

Heh...well, one can hope anyway.

Come on that acting isn't that bad (even though they did just kill off the best actor and one of the best characters). And the story-line is top notch.

Heh, I admit to being somewhat hard to please. I just can't mainline drama like so many seem to be able to do. I'm one of those hard core realists that demands believability, and I found this production riding that edge.

Plus, I'm always critical of directors who trash cool vintage automobiles for a meager tax credit. They usually just cash them in so they can contribute more pollution antway. ( Don't think for a minute that we are not aware of that little tidbit of legislation. )

I was kind of disappointed when I heard it didn't picked up for a second season, but mainly for the lack of closure about the overall story line.

Like I said, I thought it was pretty weak.

In the summer time when TV is crap, it's an opportunity to watch shows that you missed. And it's better on DVD anyway, with no commercials.

I heard heroes was good too, but I'm leaning toward Jericho when I finish with OZ.

I recommend OZ, for those who didn't watch it when it ran on HBO.

I used to love OZ, but it jumped the shark right after Adabess (sp? - The Jamican Black Gang Leader) gets killed. Sorry if that is a spoiler. It started to go down, but it takes a huge drop after that

Are you a 9/11 government did it conspiracy believer? So believability is not your strong suit! j/k

Either way this show should be right up your allie. Right when they make you think it is islamic facist support by Iran. They U-turn it and make the US government responsible for it. I would say that was a cop out. Originally Britian and Austrialla were also supposed to be bombed by Islamic terrorist, but the network executives got scared of angering Muslims, SHOCKER!

It is more shocking that, even though there are no gas stations, everyone seems to be able to drive around no problem.

Oh, I admit to liking the premise. I just thought they were'nt really able to pull it off to my satisfaction.

Well, they do discuss hoarding the gasoline, and under those conditions, it's not surprising to me that they don't just leave it laying out in the open.

How can you still be confused? A already admitted to watching it.

I may, or may not tune in for the second season. I suppose it depends heavily on what the other stations put up against it that time slot.

You will at least need to tune in to the 1st episode. It is going to answer so many questions.

That was the only reason I was tuning in at all. I desired a liitle closure, but damn it was slow in coming.

This show frustratedd me with the pace of the revelations, but yes, I know that was because they wanted me to tune in again.

I'm just not sureif I want to play that game any more.

That wasn't a spoiler...I just got into that Season. I haven't liked it any less, but maybe I just haven't gotten far enough.

What I want to know if how Ryan never gets in trouble for anything he does. He's always getting other people to do his dirty work for him, you'd think they would have caught on by now.

Don't tell me if anything happens to him or his brother though.
