| Iceberg Location: Connecticut Posts: 5,703 | I will have to reiterate what I wrote in the other thread. Paris was convicted of a violation of probation. This is an offense that can require jail time. The Judge(the Court) thought it best to sentence her to 45 days in jail and it was his perogative. He further stipulated in the sentence that she was not to be released to home confinement with an ankle monitor. The sheriff violated the Court's order. This is why she went back to jail. The attorneys for Paris should have appealed the original sentence and it probably would have been reduced to three days, a sentence more common for those who violate probation involving DUI.
