Spiderman 3 Sucks

I liked the first two, but this movie wasted its potential and is a sappy emotional trainwreck.

Don't go see it and waste your money. And don't take a five-year-old to see it before you consider that it is not in line with their comprehension...

Oh Pat! C`mon!! I just saw it two days ago and loved it. Want to go see it again. I highly recommend it.

As for children, I couldn`t friggin believe it -- some parents decided to bring an infant into the theatre and it cried for the first 5 mins. Geeesh!

funny, my cousin just told me about two hours ago that I shouldn't go see it.... he said the start and the ending were good, but the 45 mins in the middle were crappy.

I decided to stay home and watch Happy Feet for the first time. I should have gone and seen Spiderman.

This is why I support downloading movies.

Why waste the money on a crappy movie?

If you like it, go see it in theaters for the full experience.

If you don't like it, at least you're not out the $30+ it costs to see a movie these days.

I'll be watching it tonight while I wait for Heroes to DVR... and the nice thing about seeing it for free is that your opinion isn't clouded by the money aspect hanging over your head.

A part of the experience of seeing a movie I want is the big screen in the dark. It kind of helps to get lost in the movie world and makes it easier for me to suspend disbelief -- and that is what is needed to fully enjoy far out fiction, particularly one`s where men are part spider.

I also like the risk or gamble that my money could not bring me the highetst return on satisfaction for that night`s entertainment choice. So, I do read the critics' reviews and try to make a good choice based on those. Though, the critics have let me down from time to time.

If you download movies and not pay for them, why should the movies be made to begin with?

Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" is still being challenged to this day, but by consensus Global Warming is a fact... that's REAL science at work, why didn't Albert just go that route?

SHW

I can understand your perspective. I just don't have much disposable income, so if we pay for the theater, we want it to be worth it.

Mr. Vicchio

It's a supply and demand thing.

As long as they can crank out a shitty movie and pay the actors double-digit millions and people climb over each other to go simply for the title and franchise, they will continue to do so.

Me downloading a movie and deciding if the quality is worthy of the money related to the theater experience doesn't happen enough to make the movie industry increase the quality of their product.

I too was disappointed with Spiderman 3, although me and my brother got a kick out of making fun Spiderman's fat face. Did anyone else notice that?

SHW, I haven't seen the movie. Why do you recommend it?

Spider Man 3 makes spider man look like a sappy love puppy who can do nothing but get an "emo" hair cut when his girlfriend breaks up with him. Isn't spider man suposed to be tough... and a super hero? Not a whiney feel-sorry-for-yourself kind of guy.

If you will recall, he acted all whiney and inconsiderate BEFORE he put the black suit on. Spider man 2 is another good example. And spider man 1. Letting everyone walk all over him and such. "Truth, justice, and all that stuff." -Spider man 2 (I think)
That quote made me mad...not truth justice and the American way? Pfft.

It was rubbish. Too long, too slow, and they tried to crowbar too much into it.

Yeah the execs trying to make it action-packed really messed it up, like a Twinkie with too much cream. They should have left the Venom villain out of this movie. Sure, they could have developed on the Eddie guy and maybe even kept the black suit in this film, but I really feel that the villain per se had a lot of unfulfilled potential.

I mean, he was supposed to be like the best villain in Spiderman, and he only had about 10 minutes on screen. Should have saved it for the next movie if they were going to do one.

The Sandman story was pretty sad though.

Venom is supposed to be Spiderman's unbeatable uber-villain, I thought.

His Lex Luthor / Joker, so to speak.

Yeah looks like the execs were just trying to milk profits from this one. Pretty pathetic end for Venom eh?

I agree with the OP. It did suck. But not entirely. The graphics/special effects team did a wonderful job, along with the cameraman/director. But the writer should be fired. The storyline was horrible. Oh, and the guy who picks the parts of the characters. Out of all the people in the world, they picked the guy from "That 70's Show", Topher Grace, to be Venom. The wimpiest guy they could find?

By the way, wouldn't Harry's hair be burnt off by the bomb? You see the burns on his face. And how did he recover so fast? Ah well.

I think because he inhaled the Goblin power gas or something. Yeah, I thought he was dead when that bomb exploded next to his face so I was confused later.

No, I'm not talking about the character, but the actor who played him. Topher Grace looks so innocent and nice-guy. They need someone more evil.

And what the hell is up with a villan doing what's right (Sandman)? Maybe that was the comic book guys' doing, but that was disappointing, also.
