| Principled Observer Location: Toledo, Ohio Posts: 13,873 | Limbaugh is an idiot, and so is Baldwin, but I don't dislike Baldwin less or more over this issue, while I do dislike scumbag Limbaugh less, for bringing yet more PERSONAL DRAMA into the air of media BS for political marginalization. The bad thing is about Limbaugh, as Coulter, anyone who doesn't agree with them lock stock and barrel is a "leftist" or "liberal". They are shills, schams and moutpieces for garbage, and are equal to the likes of "Rosie O' Donnel" and the "drama queens" on shows like "Talk Soup", in my opinion. | Skeptical Patriot Posts: 7,746 | Throughout this thread (as well as the media) I've been noticing no one has mentioned what went on with his daughter AFTER this message was "leaked". It seems as though people in general, and the media in particular are overlooking the apparent fact that they have all denied this guy the ability to quietly, and seriously defuse the issue by simply apologizing. I can see a situation where if I had flown off the handle at my Son like that, I would have taken him aside and simply said "Son, I apologize for what I said before. I was angry and didn't mean to take it out on you." You know what usually happens in situations like that? The kid says "That's okay Pop. No problem." This is just another case of getting a part of a story, jumping to conclusions and trashing someone over something quite likely minor and easily fixed. At least I'm very sure it WOULD be seen as minor had it happened to any of Baldwin's severest critics over this. Maybe a new term ought to find its way into the lexicon. He "pulled an Imus" might do it. Not a day goes by that I don't see something that reinforces my belief that people are idiots. |

A court appointed time to make a phonecall? That's fucked up. He should look into Cingular favorite 5 networks. It's just been expanded into 10 friends, on any carrier. Death to Videodrome! | Volcanic Erupter Posts: 4,375 | Heh heh... methinks Compugasm works for Cingular. But yeah, it's one-sided. As something of an update, Alec has appeared on quite a few talk shows to speak about what he said, and something interesting came up. One talk show host admitted that all parents, at some point, and especially with a teenager, probably say something horrible that they wish they could take back. Alec agreed and said he would do anything to take it back. Yeah, he screwed up... but I think all parents screw up at some point. His screw up was that he is a public figure with a vindictive wife. |

You're stupid, just like your mother. 3. I love you, when you're not around. 4. Get me a beer. You fucking fucker... now [burp] and a chicken sandwich while you're in the kitchen... bitch. I said NOW! Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh! |

Funny = make a comic, crickets = don't bother. I should have thought of doing that when this story broke... It's a few weeks old now. I'll post this one comic, I don't want to spam the boards with 5 variations on this one idea. Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh! |

I guess Alec is one of those "when life throws you lemons, make lemonade" types. ![]() Son of X51 Location: San Diego Posts: 3,780 | Hmm, if anything, this just points out that the idea was "too easy" for comedy. Better might have been the return phone message from the daughter. Or Adam Sandler used to do a "Denise Show" where he would talk about his ex-girlfriend. So, Kim Bassinger now has her own show where she plays phone messages from Alec. Ah well, this stories probably dead by now so.. jokes over. Holy Jesus... So I went to MSNBC and looked for a news story about Paris Hilton. At the end of the article, I noticed it said [232 comments] and thought to myself, boy this story isn't more than 2 days old, that's a lot of comments. So, I clicked it and therein I discoverd a horror of the internet. That wasn't a post count, it was a PAGE count. Yeah, 232 PAGES of people throwing in their comments about Paris Hilton being arrested. Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh! Last edited by Compugasm; May 10, 2007 at 10:02 am. |

Update: Damn, I guess this story is a month old now. Check out this hilarious Wendy's parody ad. Death to Videodrome! Long live The New flesh! Last edited by Compugasm; May 23, 2007 at 10:36 pm. |

I always thought that a "not guilty" plea meant that it goes to trial. Must be nice to live in Florida and be connected to the Republican elite Big Jr is watching you! |
