As far as noise levels, the public is protected from the noise levels, as are the particpants. A jet plane makes more noise and emits more pollution than motorsports. | slipping sand Posts: 1,977 | Not that i agree with cockfighting, but you must realize that animals, just like humans, probably enjoy such "sports" ie: greyhound racing, cockfighting etc. They are given a place to exert their animal urges, while normally they might be locked up in a kennel with no stimuli or activity. What's worse, having greyhounds race around a track for human entertainment, or keeping it locked in a kennel in your basement? |

A lot of our pets live miserable way of life, obese, sick and and die before the time; often just like many of their owners. Physical and mental activity and a good diet are keys to happiness and longevity. Dog racing saved Greyhound from degeneration until present. |
