Motor sport involves pollution of air and terrible noise pollution. It is not more civilized then cockfighting. Some do not like, when some people are involved with cockfighting, but some do not like motor sports. I would rather outlaw motor sports first as uncivilized, polluting and noisy.
This is an asinine response. Motorsports are no more "polluting" to the enviornment than a Sunday afternoon drive in your car. It is negligible. Show us some statistics to prove that a NASCAR event on a Sunday afternoon for less than three hours, even less in running time, seriously pollutes the air. What a reach. There is more pollution created by commuters, recreational diesel propelled boats, or all of the people who motor to any sports event like baseball, basketball, or football game on any given day.

As far as noise levels, the public is protected from the noise levels, as are the particpants. A jet plane makes more noise and emits more pollution than motorsports. So I guess you would outlaw jet planes as well. I yi yi.

Well, how did all those people get there?

How far did each team travel to participate?

And the next event?

I think it's a legitimate gripe.

If people are allowed to make a sport out of burning gasoline, that better factor into any emmision laws imposed on me. ( Thats all I'm saying. )

Not that i agree with cockfighting, but you must realize that animals, just like humans, probably enjoy such "sports" ie: greyhound racing, cockfighting etc. They are given a place to exert their animal urges, while normally they might be locked up in a kennel with no stimuli or activity. What's worse, having greyhounds race around a track for human entertainment, or keeping it locked in a kennel in your basement?

False delemma. Neither one is necessary.

This is an excellent dilemma. A lot of our pets live miserable way of life, obese, sick and and die before the time; often just like many of their owners. Physical and mental activity and a good diet are keys to happiness and longevity. Dog racing saved Greyhound from degeneration until present.

And there is no way in the world an animal could be fat and happy. Why don't you ask the animal? It won't tell you, and you have no right to say what the animal does and doesn't like. Did a gladiator LIKE being thrown into the pit with a lion or two, so that he could show off his manly capabilities? No, he went in there with a muddy butt thinking "it's me or the lion".
