I swore off the major news networks months ago, but I was bored and surfing around. This article is on the front page of Fox news. Is it just me or is the fight for ratings on these news networks making them push the envelope?

I think the US quickly going the way of Rome, with more and more gruesome entertainment to assuage the masses while the real issues with real American lives at stake are ignored. Between that and American idol, and more people worried about whether to go LCD or stick with plasma than worried about atrocities being committed world wide, I have little hope for this consumer nation.

Yeah that was a painful lesson he learned in "risk management" I hope his arm can be reattached and work to a degree it's useful.

Animals belong in the wild, not some place to be gawked at for entertainment.

In the wild animals can withdraw from view when they feel threatened or stressed. They cannot do that in a zoo. In the wild, do all the gawking you want. Just be sure not to litter up their homes when you invade it, and don`t expect a mountain lion or a bear to be shot just because it didn`t take kindly to you coming into their home to gawk at them. Accept the inherent risks of going into the wild. But, we both know, man is too selfish and self righteous to do so.

Zoos also serve a purpose, within a few decades we may never see a tiger in the wild again unless artificially reintroduced. Zoos will be the last refuge for many species. Ah well, back to the crocodile news!

If it can it will be thanks to the many animals that were practiced on to make limb reattachment a reality for humans.

In the wild, they could die from disease, starvation, climatic changes, hunters, other animals and other ways. At least in a zoo they have a chance to live care free lives.

You are such a cruel and heartless person, to wish such pain upon animals.
