| Agnostic, Cynic Location: New York Posts: 285 | Help Save the Internet Right now Congress is being pushed to abandon the First Amendment of the Internet -- a principle called "network neutrality" that preserves the free and open Internet. Congress needs to hear from you today or they will hand over control of what you do online to companies like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast. Politicians are trading favors for campaign donations from these companies. They're being wooed by people like AT&T's CEO, who says "the Internet can't be free." Sign this petition to tell your elected representatives to protect Internet freedom now. SAVE THE INTERNET |

![]() Mass'Debator Posts: 4,724 | I would sign the petition, but not only do I feel that petitions do nothing but waste time, since corps don't care about what the community feels, but I live in Canada, and It'd be a cold day in hell before the US government tries to impose this on us, lol...... All this would do is help the government control what you all get to read and hear. They could filter out all the bad stuff about them, close forums such as this one, and claim it's for national security or some other BS excuse they like..... Freedom of speech is part of democracy, and this is starting to sound more and more fascists as days go by. |
