![]() Intriguied Observer Location: Alberta Posts: 135 | Top Current Books Disregarding the best sellers list for a second lets have a look at which books/authors most people have just heard of and have a good idea of what it is about/what the author has written. These aren't in any order but The Bible, Tolkien, The Quran, Charles Dickens, Shakespeare, The Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, War and Peace, Sherlock Holmes, The Da Vinci Code and Harry Potter These all have effect on our culture today and I want to see if there are any other that you can think of? How about other regions of the world? I doubt my sanity; yet again I doubt yours as well I am Moth, watch me fly. I am heading for your light. |

| Sedimentary Rock Location: Staffordshire, UK Posts: 6 | Sadly Thomas Hardy's "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" - as much as I hate the book the story is I imagine enjoyable for the majority, as well hitting on such key issues like Industrialisation, Religon & Sexism (and others) that characterised the 19th Century. |
