Question for the Euro-Trash on the board?

How does NFL Europe do? Do the Europeans even care about it? Is it raising in popularity, like soccer is doing in the States?

Barely registers, as far as I'm concerned. Couldn't care less - I follow the game where we don't wear body armour & stop every few seconds.

Think it's got more popularity in Germany & Scandinavia, but in the UK, it's not exactly a feature.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

It doesn't, we don't and no, peasent colonist.

If one is to fall back on cliches, the thought of a beer swilling, potato chip munching, couch hugging NFL fan referring to those across the pond as "Euro-trash", presumably even in just, is amusing in its own right.

There is only one thing America does better than war, and that's snackable entertainments.

I'd like to thank Charlie Hodge, bringing me scarves and water.

I have to admit, my first reaction to this thread was "What's the NFL?" - I imagine that would be the reaction of a substational portion of the population in my area

So i think i agree with everyone else, in regards to the UK, that it isn't a big thing.

I assume you are referring to Rugby. It is a fun sport, but not nearly as dangerous and violent as American Football. The huge hits would be possible without all the padding.

Yes, no one drinks in the UK.

What makes a man turn neutral? Lust for gold? Power? Or were you just born with a heart full of neutrality?

See if you can catch some of the World Cup next year. If you want skill and utter power, focus on a New Zealander called Jerry Collins. He actually had to cut down on weights training because it was interfering with his mobility and football skills. And he made 3 of those big hit tackles within 30 seconds against Wales in November.

Yah, but unlike the US couch potato, the UK soccer houligan at least gets some excersie. Lugging the cinder black to throw at the match is good exercise.

Yeah, comparisons between a european and a the average american can be unfair. Picture a slightly overweight white dude wearing those cheap neon sunglasses smoking a Marlboro and drinking a budweiser barbecuing some hamburgers in the back of his ford pickup shouting WOOOO!! and Get er done!!! Now picture a european, smoking a cigarette, with his shirt tucked into his pants. I cant really think of anything else to say for the european.

A dangerous sport is one that can kill the participants like auto racing. Everything else is for pansies or girlie men..

Can you really call auto racing a sport? A game maybe!

It is just the opposite. Racing is a sport and Rugby, football, baksetball are all games. They are called games and racing is termed a sport, specifically a motorsport. I don't think there is any disagreement that auto racing is a motorsport.

You may think racers don't need stamina and concentration but indeed they do. And for hours at a time with very few breaks in the action.
