I once saw a tv show about the Oak Ridge area of Tennesse during Worl War Two, where a lot of the bomb development took place. The government just took those people's land away, and not much fuss was ever made about it, it being the time of World War II. Sad.

Sad indeed. Propaganda was much more consolidated during WWII, and god forbid you spoke against the nation trying to fight the "axis of evil" no matter what it cost YOU.
