| http://www.global-elite.org/modules.php?op...order=0&thold=0 "WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services said Thursday that it was about to begin testing a new technology designed to help more closely monitor and assist the nation's homeless population.Under the pilot program, which grew out of a series of policy academies held in the last two years, homeless people in participating cities will be implanted with mandatory Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags that social workers and police can use track their movements." this is highly unethical. |

| It's the "Mark of the Beast," IMO. Soon to be implemented worldwide... Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. | In targeting the homeless at first, humanitarian purposes will be set forth: "We need to make sure they get their meds; homelessness leads to loss of identity documents; it's so that they can receive the help they need..." Later implementation will target the wealthy: "An exclusive ticket to luxury, implantable RFID guarantees your prestige." Through many other stages to the final one: RFID implantation at birth with the citizenship number. "No RFID? Not a citizen" Other reasons for the coming deluge of implantable RFID: the current plague of identity theft, credit card fraud, deadbeat dads, terrorist infiltration, and unauthorized free speech... Psy-ops to prepare the public: the ubiquitous demand for tattoos, piercing and implants of all types. Ostensible reasons for the implantable RFID: many, varied, and often quite reasonable. Dark side: Police State population control. All these are my opinions. Not interested in debating this issue. | rfid's are the next real technological threat to privacy and freedom in this nation. One of my favorite radio programs "off the hook" http://www.2600.com/offthehook/ has been talking about rfid's and their dangers for awhile now. These things are getting cheaper and smaller every year soon enough we could have them in our credit cards, our licensees.... even in us if we give it enough time. | I'd love to see someone try that RFID shit with me. The only thing they'd get for their troubles is a boot in the ass. What compels people to think turning someone into something tracked by remote-control is a good idea?! "Growth for the sake of growth is the ideology of a cancer cell." Do you make things better where you live, or do you screw things up and live in the suburbs? |

| Pragmatist | Implants are on the horizon, not just rfid's but other ones as well. The first computer brain interfaces are being tested. You can currently be tracked by your cell phone if necessary. You gave up your privacy a long time ago. Just ignore it and get on with life. I assure you it will be painless. Muhaha... and all that I wouldn't recommend sex, drugs and insanity for everyone, but its always worked for me. Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime."
