It equates to not wanting to have a baby yet, and still getting the pleasant side effects of procreating, ie. an orgasm. The reason people like to have sex, as well as everything else on this planet that reproduces in that manner, is so that we have motivation to continue the human race. If you look at it objectively, sex can be pretty disgusting, but if you get an incredibly nice feeling from doing it, you tend to ignore it. Also, the mind-set of a sexualy aroused person is different from that of a regular person. While engaged in the act, its the best thing ever, and you wonder why you don't do this all the time. Afterwards, you look at yourself and your partner and remember why. Safe sex in moderation is perfectly fine, as it results in a pleasant experience, and you are allowed to have the experience without having a child untill you are ready. Not having sex at all, however, is very dangerous, as it results in the extinction of the human race. I know your type. You think, "I'll just get me a costume, rip off the neighborhood kids."
