Where are the cheering hordes shouting "U.S.A! U.S.A!" at the news that the land of the free imprisons more people than any other country in the world, both in raw numbers and as a percentage of its population?

Earlier this month, the International Center for Prison Studies at King's College London released its annual World Prison Population List. And there, standing proudly at the head of the line, towering far above all others, is that shining city on the hill, the United States of America

when you lived like i have or looked at these charts pointing out how many people end up in jail you begin to understain the big crime bossies that live in jail or just the homeless man and yes you could get throwen in jail for sleeping in a parkwe have let the gov become our big brother saying what we can and cant do to the brakeing point i see alot of people who just lash out at other for no real reson but knowing that you will face alot of jail time no matter how hard you try not to in your life time people tend to do that

prisons are about monie plaine and simple its easy just to say yeah but we feed the prisoners with it billoins and billoins go into jails now day and all i have hears is we need to make more well for some reson its not helping the problum and maybe worstening it because like minded people get together its an easy way to lose 1 billoin dollors too

I'm sick of you stupid liberals attacking Pres. Bush. He's done a great job protecting our country. Kerry or Gore were in office we'd just sit around and wait for islamic terrorists to attack us. Don't give me that "Bush lied to the country" crap. If we weren't in Iraq we'd have had another 9/11 and then you'd blame Bush for not going into Iraq.

I'm sure that republicantiger can provide us with evidence of the link between 9/11 and Iraq and the link between Iraq and al Qaeda. And I'm also sure that this administration would like to have the proof of those links since they have aknowledged that no such link exists, albeit very infrequently.

No, the truth is that almost ANY other person (at least one with a smattering of intellect) would have finished the job going after al Qaeda in Afghanistan instead of alienating the majority of the world and bankrupting the country with his moronic detour.
