58 with three five year olds and lots of money. I'm seeing a nanny or two in the picture here.

He'll be 63 when they're 10.

He'll be 69 when they're 16.

He'll be 74 when they're 21.

He'll be 83 when they're 30.

Life really is too short.

You don't have to create more children to have them. Foster parents frequently get a chance to have their foster kids adopted. I have one that came to stay with us seven weeks ago. Linda and I are going to be her legal guardians. What sweetie she is. Shirelle...

I say good for him! he knew what he wanted and he made it happen. I am sure those boys get enough love. would it have been different if he had knocked up the local whore and she abandoned them. at least the kids have the comfort of knowing how wanted they were.

Thats nice. Like some that commented on the thread said, he was probably realizing his own mortality and wanted some sons to carry on his name. Even though I detest children, thats probably what I will end up doing so I will have someone to carry on my name and my estate.

Umm, I'm guessing from that statement your not fit to have children. It's not within my powers (yet...mwahaha) to stop you but unless you grow up, just turn your estate into a foundation for something if it's actually worth something, and if not, donate it. It's really not fair on the kids to have such a twat for a parent, you should have kids because you want kids in your life , to raise them and watch them grow up. Everything else is just a bonus.

They do in China. And from the looks of it, China appears to have their act together better than what we are doing right now. At least in terms of economic prosperity.

What you just say above is very intelligent and wise, its very hard to argue against this.

But beleive or not Protostar is more aligned with Darwins laws of natural selection than you are. Because according to Darwin, a mammels highest priority is to reproduce and remain in the gene pool. Enjoyment of your offspring would only offer a secondary consideration, raw survival is the primary agenda for all life on this planet.

True dat. But the method we have evolved that drives us to have succesful offspring is a desire for sex, security and family. Other than a handful of inbred aristocrats, I don't hear much about the importance of keeping the family line. It is important to me, but if that family line is to be succesful and survive itself, the first considerations must be welfare of the children.

I disagree G. The first consideration must be the creation of wealth to increase the offsproings chances of survival. Like birds building nests before they have their young.
