    A Victory for Mingers Everywhere

Menzies "Ming" Campbell has won the leadership contest for the Liberal Democrats

This is good news. I know Hughes is a massively likeable guy having heard him speak in Paris four years ago, but he is entirely unelectable. Huhne is too recent an addition to the Commons to be leader. Campbell has experience, can actually defend rather than dodge his views, is rather wise compared to the other two major party leaders, and he's an Olympian, what more could you ask for? (more hair, maybe)

Fighting talk from someone whom appears rare, an honest politician :)

I'm glad someone else here thinks his election is important. The Lib Dem's are the best chance we have at breaking this bastard grand coalition that that has evolved between Labour and Tories.

Ah, I think it's important...I'm just on the old 'wait and see' mode....

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
